Edit2: No money was ever returned to my account. I am guessing Cassandra did not tell me the truth when she said that the warranty website said the warranties were canceled. I have made a new review reflecting this new issue. EDIT: I was contacted by Cassandra, who is the manager of their financial department. I came in and explained everything that happened. Upon my arrival she told me that she already expedited the cancelation of the extended warranties, provided some compensation for my troubles, and assured me that they do not work with people who lie and cheat their clientele, which should give you a clue as to what happened with him. Cassandra was very understanding of my feelings in this situation and she did more than right by me. I will continue to support Brandon Honda! I removed most of the original review below to make room for this edit, and most of it no longer matters, since as I said, she took care of me. ORIGINAL PARTIAL REVIEW: Financial Manager Sha is a liar... Told me I had to purchase 2 extended warranties in order for the bank to finance my car. Not only is this not true, it's unethical, and illegal! Here is my email to their GM: Yesterday, 5-25, I called Brandon Honda to talk to someone about figuring out how I needed to make payments since I never received the welcome packet from the bank. This was no ones fault as I am fairly sure it was lost when someone broke into the mailboxes where I live. She told me the bank was Florida Credit Union and that she would email me all the paperwork in my account. Upon receiving the paperwork, I noticed the 2 forms for the extended warranties that Sha told me were required to receive financing. I decided to read the warranties, and it specifies that it is not required to purchase the warranty to finance the vehicle. One was from "Ultimate Security" in the amount of $1,200, and the other was from "TRUVSC" in the amount of $2,917...... More

On December 30th , 2022 my 1 year old son and I were involved in a serious car accident that ended up with my 2016 Civic being totaled. With all the stress of being in a car accident we didn’t want to a involved in a serious car accident that ended up with my 2016 Civic being totaled. With all the stress of being in a car accident we didn’t want to add more stress that comes with when you go into a dealership to buy a vehicle. I called Chris Irvin because I knew he is the best and would make the experience as stress less as possible. He made the experience of purchasing a new vehicle so smooth and easy. We never felt pressured or rushed to decide on the type of vehicle (we looked at two). Chris was honest and showed us the difference in prices and gave us great advice. I ended up buying the 2023 Honda Civic and I absolutely love it! Chris Shotwell was our finance guy and he answered all our questions and made the signing documents process a breeze. We got to the dealership at 9:30AM and I was driving out of the lot at 12:30PM in my brand-new car! More

This review would be 10 stars if it were solely for Sharief Hammad! Upon arrival we were honest about what we were looking for and that we had a first time buyer. Sharief was personable and focused. He never tried to pressure us into something that we weren't comfortable with. I recommend working with him for all your sales needs at Brandon Honda as he is one of the BEST salespeople that I have ever worked with. The finance manager, Chris Shotwell is 100% accountable for the lower rating. If I could give him a zero rating, I would. He is by far one of the most unprofessional people that I have ever spoken with. There was never a friendly greeting to my son, and his disappointment was obvious when I followed into his office. He never engaged with us, even when we mentioned the dog that he keeps in his office (who doesn't want to talk about their dog????). We would not budge on the agreed upon monthly payment (regardless of the amount) and his poor, annoyed attitude escalated. I advised that we were leaving as it was NYE, we had plans and had already waited over an hour for him, It was then that I was sternly advised that the order needed to be cleared and he raised his hand up toward me and continued to say, "He had worked for 2 hours on this deal since he (my son) is a first time buyer and that I needed to show him some RESPECT". I think he MUST'VE been confused, respect is earned - he neither gave or earned respect. Being a finance manger and working numbers is HIS job. When I go to work I am expected to do MY job. You, Mr. Shotwell need to respect what your customers' do for you.... and if you cannot then you need a different profession. Customers help pay your bills! Regardless of how small the commission may have been, all customers should be treated the same. You cannot demand respect in the service industry and were out of line speaking to a customer in that way. Furthermore, this is the second vehicle that my family has purchased from Brandon Honda and the second time being mistreated by him. The first time he was less rude but was pushy and spoke in a degrading way. I still recommend this dealership for their sales professionals, especially Sharief!! And the good experiences with their service department, if you finance with them PLEASE request a different finance manager other than Christopher Shotwell and be able to provide a 5 star rating. More
