Billy grew up in Nevada, IA and went on to attend DMACC with a focus on Auto Collision Repair. He gained his strong sense of work ethic through his position running a forklift and operating heavy equipment, driving trucks and building asphalt roads for 20 years. Billy knew Deery of Ames would be a good fit for him because of the shared mentality of, 'treat others how you want to be treated.' When Billy is not at work helping customers find the right vehicle for them, he enjoys spending time with his family and their two dogs and two cats. He also enjoys hanging out with friends, BBQing/smoking food, enjoys cars/trucks, riding dirt bikes and ATVs, and going camping. One of his favorite quotes is from Dan Gable, "There's always ways of motivating yourself to higher levels. Write about it, dream about it. But after that, turn it into action. Don't just dream."

I had been to a couple dealers and viewed many online in my search for a newer truck for my family. My top two choices were Ram and Chevrolet (I have been a die hard Chevy guy most of my life). I didn't rea my search for a newer truck for my family. My top two choices were Ram and Chevrolet (I have been a die hard Chevy guy most of my life). I didn't really expect to buy a new truck that day but Deery of Ames (Billy) sold me on a beautiful 2017 Ram 1500. It's a wonderful truck packed with options and at a price I couldnt walk away from. No other dealer had come close to the options on this truck for the price. I was shocked and blown away. Kyle got me a great rate as well as a fantastic warranty plan that I would have regretted passing on. Overall my experience with Deery Ames is top notch. I have recommended to at least 6 friends that they go see Billy if theyre serious about a new vehicle. I look forward to doing more business in the future with Deery of Ames simply from my experience with Billy and Kyle. More

This was my second car I've bought from Deery. I came in and seen Billy. He very knowledgeable about every vehicle inside and out.He made the buying experience completely painless. Do you remember that scene in The Bodyguard where Kevin Costner is teaching that dude how to do a j-turn in the limo? Well your experience won't be anything like that. Except you'll have this feeling that Costner is teaching that dude how to do a j-turn in the limo? Well your experience won't be anything like that. Except you'll have this feeling that he has his katana ready to slash prices and he will help you feel good about your vehicle. 10/10 would recommend Billy as your guard against terrible sales experience.
