Everything about Suntrup Kia is If this were any other purchase of any other product, I would return it and never do business with this company again. Everything about Suntrup Kia is shifty. I have been taken advantage of at every turn. I was coerced into financing I didn't want because they said they couldn't hold the car for 24hrs for me to come back with a cashiers check. They said there would only be a soft inquiry on my credit, instead there were 4 hard inquiries on my credit by different financing agencies. They admitted they were selling the car over Kelly Blue Book, citing "market value". The sales woman just shrugged at me every time I asked a question or raised an objection. I went home with zero paperwork to show that I bought the car, paid IL taxes & registration, took out a loan, nothing, not even the business card of the woman who sold me the car. The only thing I was given was the warranty information. It was in a sealed envelope and I'd been at the dealership for 4 hours and was late for an appointment, so I thought everything I needed would be in there. I went back the next day and mentioned the missing paperwork, they said it's their standard practice to mail them. It's been a month and I still have not received anything. The only detailing they did to the car was spray shine on the tires, even after I pointed out stains on the seat belts. I took a wet rag to the console and was able to easily wipe away visible grime. 6 days after I bought the car, the battery died. I called the lady I test drove it with because SHE gave me her card. She said it should be covered under the warranty and I should call the service department in the morning. I brought it in the next day. After being there an hour, they said it was NOT covered because it is a consumable like windshield wipers. They wanted me to wait another hour and pay them $240. I said I didn't want to give them my business and left. I bought a $15,000 car from you a WEEK ago and you can't even replace the battery as a courtesy? Every time I've been back in, the woman I bought the car from, Kelly Plant, walks by me and smiles with that sort of unwelcome guest smile, barely acknowledging my existence. She does not at all check in with me to see if I'm happy. And I am very much not. Since then, I have called 13 times, spoken to 6 different people, trying to get my documentation. All of them have given me the runaround and either claimed that my problem is not their problem or that "it's in the mail." Each person has tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible and shows no investment in my satisfaction. The warranty states that the first milestone service within 5k mi of the purchase mileage is provided for free. When I tried to call in about this, I was told it was done before the car was sold. When I told them, "but the car doesn't think so, the maintenance required light is on." They responded, "look up online how to turn that off." Are they serious? This is customer service?? More
