We had an appointment for noon, and finally got out of there at 3 pm. We had to go to the dealer to find out what was wrong because the code would only read "dealer code" with the Autozone diagnostic com there at 3 pm. We had to go to the dealer to find out what was wrong because the code would only read "dealer code" with the Autozone diagnostic computer. Once the dealer read the codes, all that was wrong with our vehicle was a bad battery and a bad spark plug. We waited an hour and a half to get the diagnosis. We then told the service tech, as well as the lady who worked with the financial end, that we just wanted to make the repairs ourselves. We waited another 45 mins. to get our vehicle back, only to find out they were working on it afterall and had replaced the spark plug. We again told them we wanted to make the repairs ourselves. We finally got it back, with a charge of just over $200. We realize that the diagnosis was $160, but we thought that applied to any work they did. Anyway the time we spent and the money we spent was ridiculous for such a simple diagnosis, and then for a cheap part that we didn't even want them to replace. That, as well as the fact that only the dealer could make the diagnosis, at the pretty sum of $160, all made it feel like we were taken advantage of. More
