Poor Customer Service Attempting to Purchase Used Vehicle Buyer Be Ware. In my experience I was treated with complete disregard as a person by Hughes Honda. I am not sure if it was because I am in the militar Buyer Be Ware. In my experience I was treated with complete disregard as a person by Hughes Honda. I am not sure if it was because I am in the military and was out of state. I showed serious interest in purchasing a used Honda Pilot and had a family member test drive the vehicle. I had multiple conversations concerning purchasing the Pilot over the next 2 weeks. On a Thursday they called me and asked what was holding me back from purchasing the vehicle. I told them I needed the price $600 lower. They responded saying they almost never drop the price because the car is already priced competitively but they would call me if it was possible. I never received a call but 2 days later on Saturday I noticed on their website that they dropped the price $1,000. I called and asked if could give them a deposit to hold the vehicle till I could finalize my loan on Monday. I even asked to speak to the owner but was told he was too busy. They said they had someone that was coming later that evening and if it wasn’t purchased by that customer then they would take a deposit. That customer did purchased the vehicle and I was told they were sorry but they had other cars on the lot. In summary, Hughes Honda wanted to sell the vehicle when and to who they wanted to and didn’t care about me as customer. They choose to sell the vehicle at lower cost to a new walk in customer in order to move it off their lot instead of someone who they had been working with for over 2 weeks. Please be advised that while Hughes Honda staff is pleasant, they will do not care about you as person and I would be hesitate to trust anything Hughes Honda told me. More
