Born in Peoria IL and relocated to Cedar Rapids in 97’ with my wife Myrna, we started our family. Jasmine is now 24 and Jacob is 16 so you can imagine never a dull moment at our house. For pets, I have 2 aquatic turtles that beg for food whenever I am near the 55 gal tank that is stocked with several oversized Goldfish that now resemble Koi. My other pastime pleasure is cooking and thanks to my very thoughtful wife Myrna who bought me a smoker, I have acquired a love for smoked meats adding a layer to my waist line if you know what I mean. I have always been focused on taking care of customers and the last 19+ years I have spent in the car industry working on this 1 customer at a time. I take pride in having the privilege of running our internet team and being able to change the perception of how easy and hassle free a car buying experience can really be. A big THANK YOU to all my past customers and look forward to assisting all the future ones.

Our experience wit Toyota was exactly what we needed and was looking for. I would like to share my experience with CR Toyota and specific with Alan Makabi (Internet Sales Manager). I am new to Cedar Rapids and moved very recently. I was looking for a used car around 10K price e specific with Alan Makabi (Internet Sales Manager). I am new to Cedar Rapids and moved very recently. I was looking for a used car around 10K price either Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. I visited Pat Mc Grath, Randy Keul and other show rooms to figure whether I can find a suitable car in my budget. The experiences were not encouraging. At Randy Keul, that guy even doesn't know about the details of the car. I came across CR Toyota thru my friend, I checked their website and called. I was connected to Alan Makabi. Honestly from that movement onwards my experience was very nice. He was very professional in sharing all the info and very customer oriented to understand about the customer requirement and make sure he is satisfied. I bought a Camry with good mileage and good price from CR Toyota. When I dealt with Alan, it was more like a close friend or a very known person with whom I was dealing with and very comfortable. I should say that he is the best sales person I ever came across and refer to anyone without any reservations. He was available at my Hotel to pick as I do not have a car and dropped me twice to avoid difficulty for me. Even just after I bought the car, I was struck on ice and struggling to pull back, called Alan. He came immediately for help and surprizingly another CR Toyota employee came on a different car (don't know how he got to know we are struggling) and they resqued. If I need another car for my wife, I will call Alan first and go to CR Toyota. I also thank Bill the finance manager, who was also very friendlier in approach. I am sharing this honest experince which may be of help to you, if you are looking for a used car, check/talk with Alan (319-389-8368) once and see how the experience turns and then proceed accordingly for other options. Alan was so very helpful from finding the exact vehicle I needed - to making sure the price was exactly as stated when I came to take delivery. There are so many ways a salesman can fall short of expectatio needed - to making sure the price was exactly as stated when I came to take delivery. There are so many ways a salesman can fall short of expectations - not one of these happens with Alan. Each time I interact with him I am reminded that there are salesman out there that do exactly as they say, each and every time. This makes me able to enjoy the transaction, not dread it. I am a return customer from Georgia, and I can tell you I will be back for my next new Toyota to purchase from Alan for certain. Hats of to Mr. Curt in finance as well - he made the transaction a breeze. More

Alan Makabi has a great skill for customer service. Works very hard to meet customers needs. Very thorough to meet your needs. Very friendly people right down to the financing. Wendy Nelson in the finance dept is fun and make your buying experience easy and works hard to get the best interest rate she can for you. Extremely happy with my car buying experience. This is my 2nd purchase with CRtoyota and feel very much at home calling Alan at anytime and finalizing with Wendy. It was an overall good experience. Pretty much a no hassle, sight unseen purchase on a used vehicle. I would highly recommend CR Toyota for a car buying experience. I came in on a Saturday looking at trading a Pilot for a Sequoia. I was very happy with the trade-in price and the service with the new purchase was very good. We had the pleasure of working with Alan Makabi again on the purchase of our new TUNDRA. Man, this guy is the best! From the minute we pull up to the CR dealership, we have his full attention. Alan rolls ou the purchase of our new TUNDRA. Man, this guy is the best! From the minute we pull up to the CR dealership, we have his full attention. Alan rolls out the red carpet for you but treats you as an old friend which is so comfortable and familiar. He takes pride in researching and showing us how to operate the new gadgets and upgrades in the truck. He even took the time to buckle in a little Toyota bear mascot into the back seat which was hilarious and so thoughtful. Must say the finance guy Bill was great too. No pressure, just friendly, funny and thorough. This place is too good to be true, friendly, professional, fair and just AWESOME! Thank you Alan!!! More
