Transmission failure in a civic? I purchased my 2011 civic new, had it regularly serviced and I looked after it. At 70,000 K I had to replace the fuel tank, and at 110,000K the trans I purchased my 2011 civic new, had it regularly serviced and I looked after it. At 70,000 K I had to replace the fuel tank, and at 110,000K the transmission failed. No mention of an AWA, and Honda Canada has not returned my calls. I have purchased 4 Hondas and spent a lot of money over the years. They really didn't seem to care. More
Worst service department I have ever used To start I have been using Honda to service my civic for the past 10 years. Some good experiences some not great. This was without a doubt the absolut To start I have been using Honda to service my civic for the past 10 years. Some good experiences some not great. This was without a doubt the absolute worst. My experience began with their phone being unreachable as though they may have left a night call on. This went on the entire morning. Finally I got through and was able to leave a message. I never received a return phone call. I ended up booking an appointment online. This was for 12:15. When I arrive I am told the service techs go on lunch until 12:45 So my oil change will take almost 2 hours to complete. Along with that I requested to have them price match with another local Honda dealership on the oil change and a diagnostic. Not only did they not match it but they actually charged more than the advertised price on their online booking service. I will never use Nanaimo Honda for any service or car purchase ever again. More
New Car with Honda We spent few hours trying the car. Priced our 2 exchange vehicles right away. Alen was great and did a great job in showing the cars and options. Bad customer service Had my car serviced at this dealership and was quite unimpressed with the service I received. As I walked in, I felt very unwelcomed as many employees glanced at me and never helped me. After my service I came to pick up my car and asked "did we figure out the car problems?" Not actually meaning "we", the lady responds "we?, you mean us, you still don't know what's going on but we did figure it out." I was very taken back by the comment as she showed a lot of contempt to me since I was younger. I was very unimpressed with how I was treated and I will not be recommending this dealership. More
I was well taken care of and treated like family! I just recently bought a Honda 2016 CRV touring from Nanaimo Honda and thanks to Dan and Bruce I had a great experience as intimidating as it was to I just recently bought a Honda 2016 CRV touring from Nanaimo Honda and thanks to Dan and Bruce I had a great experience as intimidating as it was to do all on my own, they made my experience a great one! It's been a month already and I still have not had any buyers remorse... but enjoying my purchase! Thanks guys:) More
May be worth it to pay more at another dealership I took my car in to get a seat belt buckle replaced (common issue) and the guy at the parts counter saved me a bit of money which I was happy about. Unfortunately it took them over 90 minutes to do this simple replacement which I found strange. After I paid for the service I went to drive away and saw a bunch of candy wrappers scattered on my floor. Then I grabbed my steering wheel and saw it was covered in shop grease/oil. I might take my business up island to have any further service done due to the disgusting state they left my vehicle in after such a simple service job. More
New hybrid battery For 6 months I repeatedly took my Honda into the service department because the hybrid battery was not working and was told it was okay. Finally they agreed it was not working but by then it was out of warrenty. We paid $3000 for the new battery which from the start was also not working properly, not holding a charge, not assisting, not auto stopping. After being told repeatedly by the dealership and also Honda customer relationship Canada that it is okay and knowing that it is not, I am now the proud owner of a Mazda. More

Ope ing up someone else mail is a criminal offence. Also looked at a new var. The ad was on top of the ROOF of the car I wanted. they said that car is not available. I asked when the car would be available. He said 3 months. I asked them to call me when the car came in. The care never cam in . The advertising price is a fraud. FRAUD FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
I would pay more and go to another dealership I came Nanaimo from Vancovuer as they had a specific car I wanted to buy. I recieved none of the after sales service I was promised and couldn't come I came Nanaimo from Vancovuer as they had a specific car I wanted to buy. I recieved none of the after sales service I was promised and couldn't come to the dealership. I bought my car from a dealer in order to get a warranty etc (which i was told was good in any honda dealership in Vancouver) and in 18 months since I bought the car I haven't been able to get any Honda dealer to honour my warranty or for Nanaimo Honda to return my calls. I currently have an issue with my Drive Train and I will have to pay for it completely by myself. Once I pay for it I can then persue Nanaimo Honda through the Small Claims Court but this will obviously take time. I would strongly recommend anyone to avoid this dealership no matter how good the 'deal' you're being offered. They are completely dishonest and if I could do it over I would have paid more and went with a reputable dealer. Please don't make the mistake I made. They are beyond criminal. More
I have serviced my 2009 Honda over the past 4 years with you. I spent over $300 dollars on Feb. 28 to have my car tuned up. 4 days later the engine light came on. I returned to have you look at it. After an hour & another computer analysis there was clear confusion as to why the light came on. It was recommended I carry on as usual due to the confusion. I was charged $85. As a customer with a solid record with your service department I felt that there should have been some consideration to charging me for this additional service. I am really discouraged by your service. More
