Extremely disappointed with this dealership. After signing the paperwork, I discovered several hidden fees: Focus Promise – $899, Finance Placement Fee – $699, Fuel Surcharge – $95, and more. Some of these were presented as “included” or “gifts,” but ended up on the final bill. Staff were rude and dismissive. Especially unpleasant experience dealing with Abby — unprofessional, pushy, and lacking transparency. Be very careful, ask detailed questions, and read every line before signing anything. UPDATE # 3- March 10th, 2025 - ABSOLUTELY NO CONTACT FROM FOCUS HYUNDAI!!! WHAT A JOKE THEY ARE!! THEY SCAMMED A 20 YEAR OLD OUT OF MONEY HE DID NOT HAVE AND THEN PLAY DUMB AND SAY THEY OPERATE LIKE A USA HO FOCUS HYUNDAI!!! WHAT A JOKE THEY ARE!! DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY WITHOUT IT IN WRITING AS THEY WILL SCAM YOU LIKE THEY DID MY SON!! UPDATE #2 - It is now Feb 27th and absolutely no movement from Focus Hyundai. They must train their employees to misquote customers over the phone then gouge you when you get there, as it happened to my son. Then add misc. charges that make no sense with no explanation on the invoice other than the charge itself. If they really cared about customers, they wouldn't leave an angry customer to stir as it only makes us more angry with no response. Even if it was a mistake by their service advisor, then they should own up to their employees mistake and make it right but as I mentioned, then it must be a ploy of theirs since they obviously don't care. UPDATE #1 - This is my first update (hopefully not more than one will be needed). As you can read from Focus's response, that they would get in contact with us which was 6 days ago. As of Feb 19th, we have not heard back. We even have left a message for the GM to contact us but nothing. Just so everyone knows (if you're curious), I've added a photo of the wiring harness from the command start that cost my son almost $430 to have removed (remember our quote was $165). There are 7 connections on this harness so that means to disconnect each connection that works out to approx. $24 for each time the mechanic pulled out one of the connections. BUT, that would have been for the original quote over the phone of $165, in actuality it was approx. $61 per connection to have it removed as they charged us double from what they quoted over the phone. Again, reminder that this is what you will be dealing with if you go to Focus Hyundai. Do not get any quote over the phone but rather a quote by email, photo of the quote texted or an actual printed copy of what they will be charging you or otherwise you will end up like us and they will change the cost and charge you more. I hope to see the refund soon but if not, as mentioned; this is my first update of many more to come. I will continue to spread the word to avoid this place at all cost as they will only provide excuses that they run their business like an American hospital and charge you for everything. My guess is the misc. $50 fees are probably for the toilet paper the mechanic used for their number 2 break as it can't be for disposal of the harness as they left it in the car and I doubt vinyl gloves cost $50 so what is that misc. charge for Carly Kohut? My sons Hyundai Elantra was having issues with the battery dying when the vehicle was parked (some sort of parasitic draw) so we brought it in early December and they determined that it was an issue with the immobilizer and command start wiring so they reset it to factory settings and disconnected the immobilizer. Not shortly thereafter in January, the battery was dying still so we brought it back. We were quoted that they needed to remove the command start for $165 over the phone but when we arrived to pick up the vehicle it was priced at over $430 for the removal of a wiring harness which included an additional $169 labour charges plus $50 of misc charges. We were blindsided by this and unfortunately the service manager wasn't around to discuss so we paid and left. We called and left multiple messages to speak with the service manager. When she finally called back, we stated that on their bill of sale, that there is a 90 warranty from the original work done in December but she says it was two different issues, which it was not. More

I was travelling on Bishop Grandin at Waverley when I slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warning alarms going crazy alerting me that I had a "Hybrid System Failure".( The gas engine would not cut in. ) ...I was fortunate to be able to pull over three lanes with the other drivers seeing my hazards on and letting me move over. The vehicle was still running but I couldn't move and the hybrid battery system graphics on the info screen showed it being completely depleted. The Murray Hyundai dealership took it for test drives and did not have a problem. Contacted Focus Hyundai where I purchased the vehicle from and they said to stay with Murray, obviously they did not want my business this is warranty work. More

Shubh was amazing to deal with but that was pretty much it. The manager Abbee was trying to get us to make an autopac claim on my trade in that had a small crack on the bumper. They didn’t have the kona in stock, their used Venza that I was also considering was filthy. Neither vehicle I was looking at felt right. Went to Subaru right after, they offered me $1500 more for my (Hyundai Elantra) than Focus did! Not a good feeling. Doesn’t feel honest or integral. More
