We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your Dealer Rater review, you did not share that experience. As a dealer, we can negotiate on the price of a vehicle and the value of a trade, however, when it comes to terms and conditions offered from lenders, it is subject to the approvals offered based on an individual’s credit history, the vehicle they have selected, and this portion is often non-negotiable between the banks, the dealers and the customer. The frequency of payments allowed (monthly vs. biweekly) by certain lenders is based on an individual case basis. Many factors influence this, such as but not limited to, the age of a vehicle and the credit history of the applicant. You did get the deal you initially negotiated, the price of the vehicle didn’t change. The calculation difference you referenced is a difference of $208 over the course of the year. Your purchase of insurance and a maintenance package was the reason for the payment change. These products are offered after negotiating on the vehicle, as they are for your protection and are by no means mandatory. According to our service history records, you have seen the value of these products as you have been utilizing the maintenance package. All financing terms and conditions are reviewed, full disclosure, with all clients prior to delivery of their vehicle purchase. We explain in detail what the payments and financing terms will be. If these terms are agreeable with the client, the documents are signed and the vehicle delivery takes place. Never will the terms change after the agreed documents are signed. We value our client’s insights into improving their time at our store, and this forum offers our clients an opportunity to show us how they feel about their experiences, and what we need to do to ensure we remain the number one Mazda Dealership in Canada. So why then was I quoted a bi-monthly price ($70) only to have that price inflated? When I was notfied of the offer did you not realize terms would change? 208×3=624. May not be alot of money to you but is to me. Why were these automatically added when it came time negotiate? Why not offer me these options rather than go ahead and add them? Should not have a deal of $140 per month been what was offered?
