Quick to get you to sign, then you're just a number On Aug 23, I purchased a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk and the team was friendly and helpful. As we negotiated, we settled on a number and I wanted to take it home to run the numbers. I returned the next day (Wens, Aug 23, 2017) and after some final negotiations, we agreed to a purchase price for a specific vehicle and signed all the paperwork. They indicated that they didn't have the vehicle on the lot and would have to do a locate. This is perfectly reasonable and expected this late int he model year. The sales lady (Kelsey) was willing to keep in touch via text, which is unusual but most ideal for me, that's great. So, as the week went on, I didn't hear anything on Thursday, or Friday, so I texted Friday afternoon to ask if they'd found one. Kelsey said they were still looking and would give me an update Saturday morning asshe had been away from the dealership. No update came, but I texted to check in around noon. Kelsey replied back stating that it likely won't be until the week after the coming week. I asked what would happen if they can't locate a vehicle, and she said a factory order would be done. I didn't hear anything by Tuesday, so I started to figure something was up, and this is where the story starts to get interesting. Instead of texting, I showed up in person on my way home. I inquired about the status, and Kelsey said she would investigate. For the next 10 minutes, I watched them (at the Sales desk) looking at the screen, writing something down, looking at the screen, writing stuff down. It was evident hat they were doing the search right then and there after wasting 6 days doing nothing. Kelsey came back and said that they had a White one and a Red one that matched my spec, to which I said I would talk to my wife and get back to them. I texted Kelsey with confirmation on the White one approximately 1 hour later. We have some conversation back and forth about the logistics of getting the white one, and during that, I confirm that it definitely matches the spec, and she says yes. So, now I wait the 7 days...until I get a text 2 hours later stating that Kelsey "needs to talk about options". I inquire but she doesn't give any details in text, but says she will call tomorrow morning (Aug 30). She ends up texting back and say that they can find one in the Rhino colour. I ask what happpened to the red one, and she continues explaining how great this Rhino coloured one is. I insist on knowing what happened to the white, or red for that matter. She replies back and says "It has nav" (which I didn't want). So, we do a whole bunch more dicusssion, gather details on the Rhino, and I go back to the wife for a third time with a colour change. We accept the Rhino, then Kelsey comes back and says that they still need to negotiate with the other dealer. At this point I become very annoyed because they're wasting time, seemingly stalling, and changing colour after colour. I told them that they have 4 hours to confirm their plan and get back to me, otherwise I'm cancelling the deal and going to another dealer. She replies back stating that it was confirmed and is on it's way. I ask to see the spec sheet to ensure it meets my requirements and she sent it. So, we now have a vehicle on the way (or so I thought), and it's just a matter of time before we can pick it up. This was hashed out on Wednesday and they said they'd go get it Friday or Monday and needed 1 additional day. They suggest we can pick it up on Wednesday, Sept 6 due to the holiday. I hear nothing for the next few days and didn't require any updates. Kelsey texts on Tuesday saying "Good news, we're going to pick up your vehicle". I am a bit surprised at this because it didn't happen Thursday, Friday or Saturday and it takes a 3rd/4th day to just arrange a pickup. I ask if it will still be ready Wednesday. Kent (Financing) calls me back and says they need some time to do the undercoating etc, so I would be EOD Wednesday at the earliest. I explain to them that I'd rather have them do it properly and not rush it, then let me know when it's ready. By this point, the new vehicle thrill has worn off and I didn't care because I'm so tired of dealing with all the nonsense and being lied to. They, end up delivering the vehicle Thursday Sept 7, 2017 and my first payment came out the next day...that's how long this all took. In the end, I strongly believe that all of this could have been avoided by searching for the vehicle before the customer got upset enough of being told lies, that they showed up to see what was going on. The search takes 10 minutes at best to see what's available as it's a simple inventory system. Kelsey was responsive and helpful, but since she was my interface to the dealer, I figured she could have done a better job of letting me know what was going on and maybe pushed for the search to occur as I followed up. I still have no idea what was done in those first 6 days. Scott was the sales manager(?) I dealt with and was helpful, but also could have kept me in the loop or pressed the search to occur. Most of my interaction was with Kelsey via text. Kent was super helpful and I have zero comments or issues in relation to him. The only reason I proceeded with the deal is because I negotiated a price that was pretty much impossible for other dealers to match (I did approach another dealer to see if they would match the deal and I would cancel with Capital). Unfortunately, they said the price couldn't be matched. So, I continued with the deal and ultimately got free Nav, Sunroof and Black rims on top of the deal I negotiated. There is no question that if I hadn't saved as much as I did, that I would have dropped Capital Dodge in a second and never looked back. More

They could not find it in the system! My warranty was about to expire in three weeks and when I brought my jeep in the yellow light was no longer flashing, of course. At that time I also mentioned the air conditioning, They said no problem, your warranty is good until the end of August, when it comes on again just bring it in! So I brought it in two weeks later because the light came in again and they said "sorry, we can't find your extended warranty". They had to call me back hours later to say they found it and said "sorry it expired August 20th". I TOLD THEM I HAD BEEN PRIOR TO THE DATE, and they said no problem I had until the 31st of August! Not only that, they wanted to charge me $89 for the diagnostic of the yellow light and $89 for the diagnostic of the air conditioning! Unreal.... More

A warranty which actually works - Thanks, Brent :) It was with trepidation that we forked over our $4K for the extended, extended warranty for our Fiat 2012 Sport, with a $100 deductible. Yesterday th It was with trepidation that we forked over our $4K for the extended, extended warranty for our Fiat 2012 Sport, with a $100 deductible. Yesterday the "check engine" light came on. Today I had a 7am appointment. Brent took all the information from me, and had me authorized $100 + tax for the repair. When we next spoke just before noon, they had identified many individual items, running $350 in parts so far and the labor to install, cajole, etc., and there's more to fix in a week or two when more parts come in. Four different modules in the engine, back rotors, front shocks - all could cost a lot. Total cost to me: $100 + tax. Nice :) LT, Aug 21, 2017 More

Shannon Duncan was able to help fit us in a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Express. She was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. It was a pleasure walking into a dealership and not having to be upsold at every moment. More

All I knew was that I wanted a 7 seater and NOT a van. Shannon called me back. She also text me which was easier for me. They didn't have what I was looking for at the time and said she would keep in touch. She actually did. She found me what I was looking for. Then I got pre approved. She showed me a 2017 journey and gave me a price that was hard to refuse. She talked me through the excitement, stress, buyers remorse and got me even more excited. She genuinely listened to my concerns and explained everything until I was comfortable. This was my first Big purchase and she made it as smooth as possible. Have already recommended her to friends. As an added bonus when I picked up they had an event and I got to "dunk" her in the water tank. All in all, Great experience with Shannon! More
