As a person with limited financial means I was looking for a 4 or 5 year old vehicle. After some looking and test driving I negotiated a deal on a 4 year old Journey. The salesman Elliot was very easy to deal with and treated me with the dignity and respect I would expect had I the means to purchase a $40,000 vehicle. When I went to pick the vehicle up on the agreed day and time, there were a couple of delays, but Elliot was literally running to ensure the work was completed and did his best to accommodate me and my children, which was much appreciated. I would also like to thank Phil for his understanding of my financial situation and not pressuring me into something I could not afford. I was open and upfront with these folks and they treated me well. Only time will tell how good a deal I purchased but the initial experience has been positive. More
Never again (worth reading) I purchased my 2nd or 3rd car from BMC fall of 2013. I've always dealt with Orval who is a fantastic person, hence my loyalty . I purchased a VW tha I purchased my 2nd or 3rd car from BMC fall of 2013. I've always dealt with Orval who is a fantastic person, hence my loyalty . I purchased a VW that on the day I was closing the deal, I found out was from a rental company purchased at an auction. I was stuck since another car I was buying from BMC was sold to a wholesale dealer and I had started a job in the city. Since I trusted the dealership, I forged on with the VW, but was disappointed. A review here mentions Phil F. On the day of my closing, which was 5 minutes before store closing, I noticed my payments were much higher than first reviewed. Go back several hours as I was on my way home to Collingwood to close the deal, Phil called me to make me an offer that he called "a sweet deal" on extended warranty that would only add a couple of dollars on the payment. He also said that BOM would give me a better rate as oppose to another institution that would eventually absorb the added monthly cost of the warranty. When looking at the whole picture at home,, the "couple of dollars" turned out to be $3,000 dollars. When I returned and questioned Phil ... after some discussion his rebuttal was "You'll lose in court". I was stunned that he would immediately play that card. At this point, I just wrote off the whole ordeal. I know Orval tried to engage SR. Managers, but they wouldn't engage. So the issues .. 1) two seatbelts were busted 2) the transmission was slipping and then would rev 6000rpm. ... 3) as per the other review, they put bulk oil as oppose to synthetic. I was told by the Barrie and Brampton dealership this will or may void any warranty on the car. My question ... how does a car pass certification with seatbelts that did not work? That is the most basic thing to check for a safety. The car ended up at the Barrie VW for 2-3 weeks. BMC gave me a loaner, but the optics were already soured. I have since purchased another car for my family. I considered going back to BMC again due to my desire to deal with local business, Orval and pretty good service experience. But the bad taste from the above lingered. So I believe I will no longer deal with BMC. More

After recently moving just down the street from BMC I decided I could at least use them for dealer only available parts but I was still refusing to use them for service out of spite. So I drop $115 on parts and have no complaints with the parts manager. He explained how to install the new part myself. I go home and have a little problem removing an existing part to complete the install. I go back and take the new parts and the old parts to the parts manager and show him they are different. He kindly reassured me I just had to remove a little metal part first and then install the new parts. I told him I could not do that successfully myself so he directed me to the service manager. The service manager told me the existing part had to be cut off and it would take about 30 mins. I agreed to have the work done right then without waiting and pulled the vehicle into the service bay. The shop manager looked at the issue and told me the reminder of what I could not remove myself needed to be ground down with a grinder before they could install the new part. I told him the parts manager said it just pulls off and the service manager said it needs to be cut off. Shop guy tells me it has to be ground down due to corrosion and will cost me $57. I asked if he could just try to pop it off now since I didn't have any luck myself and the parts guy said it comes off with some effort. He said it would still cost me $57 just to try but he wasn't going to because the metal to metal fusion will never allow the parts to seperate. I said forget it and I would grind it down myself with my dremel. I went home and had a thought to apply some heat to the metal part which I did with a propane torch. After 30 seconds of applying heat the part simply popped off just like the parts manager said. In my opinion after spending $115 on parts I would expect the shop manager would at a minimum spend some effort to look at the problem a little closer and perhaps try to pop it off himself and not take me for another $57 before even laying a hand on it. Anywhere else that I would have gone would have tried themselves while I was explaining the issue and when they failed it would have gone for mechanical service. You'd think these guys would have dealt with a million of these issues on Dodge vehicles since he said it was a common problem. Well thanks for nothing BMC you just reminded me that after staying away from your service for the last ten or so years, I need to continue to avoid you for another 10 years. You failed to impress me and I will continue to go to Meaford from now on where I know I will be treated right. Your shop manager is not as bright as he thinks he is. Perhaps your parts manager should work in the service bay? More
Sales and service. Worst place I have ever encountered. I bought I used Volkswagen from this dealership. Initially I thought I was getting a great deal on a used car. The deal of the car came with service p I bought I used Volkswagen from this dealership. Initially I thought I was getting a great deal on a used car. The deal of the car came with service perks so I thought to have my car worked on by them. Not only did my tire almost Come off after having them changed the guy that came to get my car was sarcastic and rude. They also spilled oil all over my drivers seat while fixing my tire. They cleaned it and gave me a free oil change card. After a year of getting my oil changed I found out they had been putting bulk oil in my golf which requires full synthetic. Approached them and they told me I didn't need that kind of oil for my car. Showed them the manual in my car and then they changed it to saying that if I needed full synthetic I should hVe informed them. A proper garage would have checked before putting what ever they wanted into my car. Then I had issues with my engine. Discovered that the spark plugs were so rusted over that the spark was arching out and grounding it into the coil in my engine. I was furious how during two services they failed to inspect or notice the terrible condition of the spark plugs and now it was going to cost me 800$ to have my car fixed. I took my car else where to have it fixed. Then my windshield wiper stopped working and I needed it immediately fixed since it was winter and bad snow storms were forecasted all week. A wire had come loose connecting the engine to the wiper and it took them three hours to connect it, let it sit in the parking lot for two of those hour because it was covered in four inches of snow. They charged me 90$ to reconnect the wire and then when I went to start my car to warm it up and wipe the windows off the person had left my wipers on and nearly blew out the motor. Was really angry at the lack of professionalism and carelessness with my car. Not to mention that every time I have said anything or complained to them they become angry and snap back with rudeness or sarcastic comments and turn the situation around to be my fault. I had had enough and asked to have my tires from storage there for me to pick up because I was finished dealing with them. The manager asked me for my reasons for leaving their service and I explained my reasons and he said "well those are stupid reasons for not wanting to continue with us" and he actually hung up on me. The next day when I went to pick them up they had pulled the wrong tires and took them two hours to try as find mine before I told them they would deliver my tires to my home the next day free of charge. I have only stated a few of the main events with Themis dealership, there are tons more. This is the worst place I have ever been too and I will never ever go back or suggest anyone to go back there ever! If you want to e treated like garbage and cheated out of money go to blue mountain Chrysler. More

The mechanic I took it to said it was either never done or done so badly whoever did it should never touch another vehicle. I will never take a vehicle there again. More

THIS IS WHY I GAVE THIS RATING. I first saw the truck online 2011 gmc sierra, called in maybe a deal on the phone, salesman agreed to eliminate the amid fees and lisense cost by taking it off the sale pr online 2011 gmc sierra, called in maybe a deal on the phone, salesman agreed to eliminate the amid fees and lisense cost by taking it off the sale price. so then I had some accessories added and that was the first incident where they forgot the window tinting in the quote because he didn't write it down when we talked about it and wanted me to pay extra after. Then the worst came once dealing with the Business manager ( the most ignorant person I have ever encountered buying a car and i've bought a lot of cars, 19 in about 14yrs, so he did the financing with my wife, ask her if she wanted undercoating, paint protection and fabric for around a $1000, she tells him "its sounds interesting but let me talk to my husband about it first" , so she talks to me about it and I said it was too expensive and we never keep a vehicle long enough to do that, when I get back home that afternoon I call the Business manager back to say not to do it, he wasn't there I left a message never received a call back, get the bill of sales by fax that night and there is $1800 of admin fees and undercoating, insurance we never agreed on, the next day I call again, I get talking to him, tell him not to do the undercoating and what is all the fees, he says too late we already started undercoating, so then we had a huge argument over it cause I never agreed and they did it anyways, finally I gave in to the undercoating only. It's now 2 weeks since the deal was made, the longest I have ever waited to make a vehicle purchase. they say when would you like to pick it up friday or monday, I said how about saturday cause we work during the week and it's a 3hr hike, she says well we don't do deliveries on the weekend ( what kind of service is that ), So anyways finally they agree on saturday. I get to the dealer for the first time they show me the truck, I take it for a ride, I get back look it over and the first thing I see there is no undercoating ( after all that crap and arguing and telling me it was too late they already started it, and this was over a week ago from the day I picked it up that the Business manager lied to me cause it was all bull ) I then aproach him and told him he didn't believe me, so I showed him and you could tell he felt stupid, he then went to investigate why and comes back to me on the defense and starts blaming me saying it's my fault cause I came on saturday and it was gonna get done on sunday night and I was only suppose to come monday ( they called me and ask me friday or monday, so.. cause I went saturday it's not done but if I went the day before which is friday it would have? Ya that makes sense ). Then I just lost it on him, told him he was an idiot and to shove the truck up his a@#. The salesman then calm me down and I went on to finish the deal, ( why I didn't just leave I don't know, maybe cause I drove 3hrs and really wanted the truck and also didn't want to lose my deposit ) So I look over the papers and all the fees are still there, the plates they were suppose to pay for they denied it and wanted $120 lisensing, for one in the north we pay half of what it is down south but they want me to pay there rate, so again I get F@#ked. Then on my way home I notice the brakes pulsing when applied, call them up on the monday, they tell me well your gonna have to bring it in, ya right I said i'm not driving 3hr back for your screw up so I will bring it to a gm dealer and we will go from there, at the gm dealer the tell me the brake drums are warpped and have to be replaced but it's under warranty, but it should have been done during the mechanical. I'm thinking i'll just report it to the ministry, I think I game then enough chances. Oh ya and also forgot about the huge dent on the top of the box they neglected to tell me about and covered with a boxliner that runs over the top edges of the box. More
