This was my first time at this dealership. My experience was excellent. They're very professional and keep you appraised of everything going on with your vehicle and they did what they said. I typically don't pen reviews when I have poor service, I just move on and spend my money elsewhere. However, the level of deception at this dealership was so egregious I simply could not refrain. It start just move on and spend my money elsewhere. However, the level of deception at this dealership was so egregious I simply could not refrain. It started last year 2022 believe it or not, I drove my rarely driven Porsche into the shop for maintenance and also for an issue I was having removing my key from the ignition. Things seem to be going well until I declined their offer to complete a $300 scan on the vehicle and opted for the basic maintenance. The service person recommend what seem to be like a rebuild of my entire vehicle, ridiculous! I requested that my ignition switched be replaced. I was told my the service manager Chris that the part was not in stock, it would be ordered an he would contact me when the part was in stock. At that time he told me it would be approximately 4 weeks before the part would come in...so I waited, not call from Chris and reached out again and was told the part did not come in and again he would call me...no call from Chris, I called back and was given the same speech...again, no return call from Chris. The winter was approaching and spring 2023 began to arrive and still no call from Chris. So, I called again and left messages 4/2023, no return call from Chris. It was always Chris isn't available and I was sent to his voicemail. So I asked to speak with a service tech, and was told the part was not in and would need to be ordered. But this time I was told that I would need to bring the vehicle back in...so I scheduled an appointment. I missed my appointment that morning but did drive the vehicle in that afternoon because I wanted to speak directly with Chris because he was not returning my calls. Chris wasn't available of course, so I waited on him to become available. When he surfaces, he goes to pull the paper work summons me to his office and proceeds to try to convince me AGAIN to run a scan on the vehicle for $300. He goes into all of these fear tactics about all the other things that could be going wrong and that I should get the scan first...it was insulting and ridiculous that he thought that I was a complete idiot it seemed. My comment to Chris was if I had a bullet wound in my temple and went to the hospital, they would not rush me to an x-ray, so if I am asking for the ignition switch to be replaced, without a $300 scan why can't service do just that and if that doesn't fix the problem...THEN, I will opt in for a scan. He goes on with his attempt to convince me that I should get this scan first, I reiterate that is not my desire. He then proceeds to tell me that the ignition switch is not refundable or returnable (what? how in the heck would I even return an installed part anyway)...and layered on more fear tactics, just ridiculous nonsense about the part could short out, etc. I remain with my initial ask, to simply replace the ignition switch, no $300 scan. Keep in mind this entire time Chris is going back and forth indicating he has to go and speak with his service tech for this and that...then the service tech comes out...AGAIN shopping this scan. At this point I am really beginning to get the impression that either I am in the middle of an upcharge scam and/or discrimination. I state again I want the switch replaced, how long will it take, Chris says 1-2 days, I say okay....then he says well, we need you to pay for it now because if we order it it can't be returned. I asked where do you order that doesn't accept returns, this is a luxury dealership, I highly doubt that you have contractual relationships with vendors that don't accept returns. He stated they get the parts from Porsche parts. Just lie after lie after lie...I had had enough, makes NO sense, why would you return it? the point of ordering it is to place it on my vehicle. It was obvious that the goal was to upcharge to the max and to create fear barriers to persuade me to complete the $300 scan. I expressed to them that I indeed believed that the More
