Truly Painless experience I was dreading having to buy a new car. The last time was 10 years ago and I just remember slimy dealerships/salespeople. This time, we had visited at I was dreading having to buy a new car. The last time was 10 years ago and I just remember slimy dealerships/salespeople. This time, we had visited at least 5 dealerships for various cars because I wasn't sure what I would like and wanted to test drive all my choices then narrow it down further from there. As soon as we got to North End it was a very different experience. First off Wayne Brown was very personable and friendly. We told him we wanted to test drive a couple of cars. He got the keys and let us go off ON OUR OWN. This floored us because at every other dealer we couldn't go without a sales person. I had not narrowed my choices down at that point so we thanked Wayne and were leaving. He did not badger us for our info or anything like other dealers. He simply gave us his card and said to let him know if he could help us! No pressure at all. A few weeks later I did end up emailing Wayne and he got back to me right away. I had narrowed my choices down to 3 cars at that point and wanted to test drive again. We actually went to another Mazda dealer because we were in the area and were told that in order to do a real test drive we had to make an appointment during the week to take it under real world conditions! We went back to North End and Wayne and told him that and he was amazed. His philosophy is: A 5 mile drive and 4 right turns does not exactly simulate real life driving. We couldn't agree more! He actually let us take 2 cars off again on our own for a real test drive. I did end up buying a car from Wayne and have been extremely happy with that decision. He has been absolutely helpful the entire time. Another thing my boyfriend noted was that Wayne was very direct and as soon as he knew it was me buying the car, a woman, he still spoke directly to me and not to my boyfriend as at other dealers. We thought that was noteworthy. Wayne just felt like an old friend and not someone just trying to make a sale. I would recommend Wayne and North End to anyone who is buying a car even if it isn't a Mazda or a Subaru. Even after the sale, Wayne continues to answer my emails/be helpful. In the future, no matter what car I am looking for I would start with Wayne first. More

The experience with North End Mazda ran diametrically opposed to the norm. It began with my inquiry about a Mini Cooper for sale that I sent via their website. My first contact was with Mark Atkinson. He didn't send me a sales email, rather, he asked me for my permission to contact me to talk about the car and answer any of my questions! I was so impressed by this respectful approach that I immediately responded via email. I had a number of questions that Mark answered and, again, he applied no pressure to come test drive the car or to push me toward a sale. A few days after the initial contact, I made an appointment to test drive the car I had seen...a used Mini Cooper. I took a friend with me, another female, and Mark again was friendly, helpful, and respectful. He had the car running and waiting for us. We were allowed to test drive the car by ourselves....something the other dealership I visited didn't allow. I fell in love with the car during the test drive. Mark asked us how we liked it and if there were any problems with the vehicle. I initiated the negotiations. That was so refreshing! Instead of chomping at the bit to make the sale, Mark was concerned about our experience with the car. The negotiations were quick, fair, and honest. I came with a preapproved bank loan and worked with Jason Cote who found me a better deal at another bank! The car came with a warranty and I decided to purchase the extended warranty that covers more than I could even list here...an excellent warranty program! The day I picked up my car, it was raining buckets outside but that didn't deter Mark from squatting in the pouring rain to put on my new plates and make sure everything was in order before I drove away. He didn't just shake my hand "good-bye" but made sure I had his cell phone number to call him if there were any problems, concerns, or questions about the vehicle...and not just for now but for as long as I have the car. While Mark was tending to the set up of my car and registration and so forth, Jesse Manning stopped in and we had a nice chat. I expressed how much I appreciated Mark's approach and that I was treated with respect and dignity and fairness. Jesse explained his philosophy that is shared by the staff at North End Mazda, and that is everyone deserves to be treated well and an honest business is the only kind of business worth having. I had to drive 1.5 hours to get to the dealership, but every minute and every mile was so worth it! Courteous, respectful, honest staff that helped to put me into the vehicle of my dreams at a price I could afford...and even saved me money over my own bank of 10-years! I look forward to regular visits to Lunenburg and North End Mazda for all of my servicing needs and future vehicle purchases. I thought a trustworthy car dealership was an oxymoron...turns out, North End Mazda is the real deal...a TRUSTWORTHY car dealership! I am so grateful for their help, for making the purchase of this car a pleasant experience, and treating me like an intelligent, competent adult worthy of respect. For every woman (and man) out there....this is the place for your automotive needs! More

I have bought a number of cars from other dealers over the years but I have to say that this purchase by far was the easiest and the least stressful. We purchased a new Mazda 6 from Jason Cote back in July 2012 and had a terrific experience. Car shopping after "credit issues" just plain stinks. Every dealer you go to tells you they can get you financing - then you find out it's at 10% for 84 months. Not at North End. Jason and Tom know their lenders and work to get the best deal possible for YOU. Jason is up-front, no xx, and no pressure. He knows what current rates and programs are, and can give you a very close estimate of payments on any vehicle within minutes, You don't spend 3 hours in the showroom while he tries to talk you into more car than you need or more options that you can't afford. He doesn't make 37 trips back and forth between his manager and his financing department. He really, truly is there to get you the best deal he can on the right car for you. Fast forward 6 months and we were vehicle shopping again for a second car/truck. I was primarily in the market for a full-size pickup and looked at Chevys, Fords, Nissans, Dodges, etc. I became less enthusiastic about the process with each dealer I visited, each one a time-xxxxxxx 3 hours or more of agony as I waited in some salesman's chair for a test drive, price quote, financing question, etc. Why can't it be easy? Completely disgusted with the whole process, I came to grips with the realization that I could not afford a pickup for the monthly payment in my head and instead focused on a SUV/crossover. We loved our Mazda 6, and had no doubt I would love a CX-5, so I picked up the phone and told Jason I was on my way. When we walked in to North End Jason was there to greet us with a smile despite the fact he was already staying past his initial departure time just for us, and he had us on a test drive within minutes. He assured me he could get me into an AWD CX-5 at the terms I was looking for, and he didn't disappoint. In under two hours we had signed papers on a new ride, at a lower rate and less months than our first car. All they needed to do was prep and register it and we could drive it away the next day. The service department even managed to squeeze in an oil change on the Mazda 6 while we were there for the new-vehicle pickup. After two great experiences at North End, you would have a hard time convincing me to go anywhere else. More

I just bought a 2011 Mazda 5door Grand Touring, what a great experience! Even have friends who are condsidering the CX-9 instead of their original choice the Lexus SUV. I find them to be honest and more than willing to work with you. Mark was wonderful. He has a unique quality which makes him an asset for the Mazda dealership. He didn't use the normal sales pitch. You can tell he believes in the product (Mazda) and can selll it straight from his heart. Hope he never changes. Can up from PA to buy a leftover 2010 Miata from North End Mazda. Made the deal over the phone with Valdez and was treated fairly. Am awaiting mats and splash guards that were ordered for delivery after I made the pick-up. All in all was a good, low pressure experience. More
