Mr. Raio/ Our dealership did not refuse to work on your car - as you represented the first one did. Our dealership advised you that you had made aftermarket installations to your vehicle - and, if the problem you were bringing it in for was related to those aftermarket installations that you would be responsible for the cost of the diagnosis and the repair. You agreed to all of this. We provided you with a loaner vehicle and, commenced to do the electrical draw tests to understand the problem that your vehicle was having. Ultimately, the draw was connection to the "trailer brake" that was installed in this vehicle - a part clearly not recommended by Subaru of America. We resolved this problem for you. We appreciate that you were a technician for 50 years - but, as we discussed with you, the brand that you worked for was no different than Subaru. There is simply no warranty on issues arising from the installation of an aftermarket part. The charges you were responsible for were the diagnosis and removal charges that were not a matter of warranty. We did warranty what we could for you that we believed was not a related item. Above all else- it is disappointing that you came to our store seeking help. While you are an experienced technician, it was something that you were not able to determine and you sought out our assistance. We did assist you and, did the best we could. We provided you with a loaner vehicle and identified the problem with your vehicle. When we spoke, it was clear that you are somewhat jaded about service departments - arising from your own personal work experience. It is disappointing that you project that on us - the only Subaru dealership that did assist you and ultimately resolved your issue. You do need to take responsibility for the fact that you installed these aftermarket parts with the deep understanding that the warranty would not cover those areas once the installation was made.

So What did you fix? You said it was a bad battery.The trailer brake has been disconnected when I returned from Vt with trailer and that was the summer of 2022. Its funny that the repair was a bigger battery with more amp Hours,The same repair going back to 2015 ....
