My family and I have used Russ Darrow of Waukesha for years. We specifically returned to this location because of our wonderful experience in the past. They did not disappoint. Dennis Cardinal helped my years. We specifically returned to this location because of our wonderful experience in the past. They did not disappoint. Dennis Cardinal helped my husband and I find two new vehicles. He is communicative and personable. Even with supply chain issues, he was always kept us updated and informed. Would highly recommend using him for future car ventures! More

My first car buying experience had a horrendous start, however Dennis wanted the business unlike Ben and Rachel. I found a car online and immediately called the Russ Darrow and was connected with “Ben however Dennis wanted the business unlike Ben and Rachel. I found a car online and immediately called the Russ Darrow and was connected with “Ben” I told Ben that I was working with my local credit union and was already pre approved. All I needed was for him to send over the purchase contract and I could go get the check and pick the car up later that day. Ben started to push that we finance through them and their banks, I told him I was already done getting pre approved and that I was not interested in financing through them. Ben told me that he would go talk to his finance department to see if they could even accept an outside lender, which I though was very odd because it’s a check, who can’t take a certified check as payment? None to less he said he would call back in 15 mins. Ben called back 15 mins later (10:45 AM) He gave us the run around as predicted from our first conversation. He told me he could find me a better interest rate, I told him again that I had no interest in doing so and to please send the purchase contract. He started to say that the scanner was acting up and didn’t know if he could, finally I was fed up and asked to speak with someone else and he then asked for the fax number, COMICAL. His whole demeanor changed when he asked for the fax number, as if he was defeated, I think he forgot I was buying the car and that he would commission wether I finance through them or not. He then said that he would get it sent over in just a little bit. I gave them 3 hours, I called back at 2 pm to ask for an update. I was transferred around the building till finally I was connected with “Rachel” an assistant manager at the Kia Russ Darrow. She told me that the car was on a test drive and the testers were very interested in buying. I asked her why the paper work had not been sent and she told me that they are first come first serve, I asked how I was not first in line calling at 10:45 Am, she told me that she didn’t know and that she also didn’t know if they could accept outside lenders, an assistant manager doesn't know if they can accept a check from an outside lender, again, comical. She told me she would give us a call back after the test drive. As much as I wanted to tell them not to waste any more of my time considering they very clearly did not want my business it was the best find in 3 weeks of car searching. Rachel called back a short time later and told me she would be connecting me with Dennis. Dennis was straight forward, he wanted the sale and he wanted me to have the car there was no question unlike Ben and Rachel. Dennis and I worked things out, I gave him the fax number and he said he would get it sent over. He called back a shortly and said that the fax machine said the line was busy, And then made comments like “xxxx little bank where everyone’s using the same fax number” just unnecessary negative comments which I think was his way of being “personable”. We talked on the phone numerous times and finally the paper work was sent through. NEXT DAY The next day my bank called and told me to come sign the paper work at 3 Pm, I called Dennis and let him know that was the plan and that I had a hair cut at 5 Pm that night so he would see me around 7:30-8Pm, he then made comments like “idk about you but it’s takes me 15 mins to get a Hair cut so you guys will probably be down here around 7” again unnecessary comments which again I think he though was personable but just ended up rubbing me the wrong way. The last time Dennis and I spoke on the phone he said he would get the car cleaned for me and that it would be ready to go when I got there. I arrived at the dealer ship around 7:45, Dennis was a little busy with other customers so I waited for him, finally he came around showed me the car and sent me on a test drive. I loved the car and was ready to buy, we sat down did the paper work and I was ready to leave. I walk out to the car and the spot where he deliberately asked me to park was somewhat under a tree. When I walked out to the car it was absolutely covered in what I believe was sap, I got in the car and started to touch things I hadn’t touched in the test drive, the detailer absolutely caked the entire interior with some sort of oil. There were numerous things I would have cleaned differently/ more efficiently, none to less the car was cleaned to an extent and I drove away in my first car. If you are thinking about purchasing a car from the Kia Russ Darrow in Waukesha, understand that you don’t want to work with Ben nor Rachel. Dennis did an amazing job at accommodating and making the deal happen, not without making some oddly placed comments but overall I did appreciate the work Dennis put in to make the deal happen. More

My son told me that we hit the jackpot when we found his car. I thank you for making this an enjoyable experience for both he and I. Everyone in your dealership was outstanding to work with. Brandon, the General Manager greeted us and helped us decide what we wanted. Wally, test drove with us and walked us through pricing and Shannon helped us during the paperwork signing process. I thoroughly enjoyed the small dealership experience. I will definitely be back should I need a car in the future. This will be my first stop. Thank you! More
