I bought my first car from Criswell when I was in my twenties and they were fair and easy to work with then. Now I am 36 and it was time for a new car- and looking for one proved more stressful and frus twenties and they were fair and easy to work with then. Now I am 36 and it was time for a new car- and looking for one proved more stressful and frustrating than I ever remembered it being in the past. Hidden fees that added $2,000 to the final price for no good reason- bait and switch tactics, flat out poor customer service that was just looking to get my information before they ever gave me any. I finally decided to go back into Maryland even though I am currently living in Virginia- to see if that first car buying experience was a fluke. It was the best decisions I could have made. I ended up connecting with Richard Beckett and he showed me what I wanted to see without trying to pressure me into anything I didn’t want or couldn’t afford. He promised no extra or hidden fees, that the price listed was the price we would pay (plus taxes and title fees and a single base charge for processing that was totally reasonable of course.) He was patient and friendly and accommodating of my bizarre work schedule. They helped us on our final purchase day to modify the loan we had taken out in advance but that didn’t quite match what we wanted for the title- on the spot. It was fast, easy, and pleasant all around. I love my new (used) Chevy, Equinox, and I almost can’t believe my luck. They even let us have our own mechanic check out the vehicle first. It probably sounds like they paid me for this review- but in all seriousness- If you are looking for an honest dealership and tired of being given the run around and fed all kinds of BS about new floor mats- I can actually say that Criswell has a history of doing good business. The drive to Gaithersburg is worth the trouble. Ask for Richard. More
