8/8 4:16 pm Nick from the service department calls to tell me my car is expected to be ready tomorrow. I ask him to do the e check since I cannot register the vehicle. He said that because it's a catalytic converter they are replacing it might fail the e check until up to a FEW WEEKS later. I wish I was joking. 5:52 pm a man calls. I can't make out his name Blaze??. He says his person who watches internet reviews brought this to his attention. I ask him to please spell his name since I misheard it and he replies "What do you want" so I start saying what I put in my review and he said "yeah yeah about the car you bought on the 25th. What do you want us to do." So I tell him what Nick just told me and he said that where he's from they don't do e checks and it's not normally something they do but they will drive my car for a bit to see if they can reset some switch so I can pass an e check and they will attempt to do one. It felt like he was annoyed that he needed to address the issue at all. It just seems like selling a car that cannot pass an e check in a county that requires an e check is a bit shady, but that's not blaze or whatever's problem. 8/11 Nick calls to let me know my car is ready 8/12 Nick is able to give me a passing e check for the vehicle and it's fixed! He also explained that unfortunately during the replacement of the catalytic converter the windshield was broken and they also replaced it. I also asked him to reset the change oil indicator since it was on and he got me all set and on my way. Overall I want to say Pam and Nick super pleasant easy to deal with. Whoever is answering phones and passing along information isn't and it seems to be a lot of different people.
