Next, he said that they have "no problem paying the appraisal amount that I need," but I need a significant down payment for a different vehicle to resolve the negative equity. "John" came over and reiterated what he said and when I told him what my finance company said, he said "I wasn't there, and this is how we have always done things." I just spoke to my finance company and was told that the dealership would receive a letter of guarantee of satisfaction of the remaining loan balance.
