Here’s what happened: The advertised price of the vehicle was $11,900, but they ended up charging me $12,799 without clearly explaining the difference. I paid a $5,000 deposit, but this just reduced the loan — not the total price. They sold me a worthless external warranty for extra commission and didn’t give me the warranty papers at the time of sale. I had to get them later from the warranty company. After reading the details, I realized how bad it was and asked to cancel — but they ignored all my calls. Only after I filed an AMVIC complaint did they finally cancel it. I was promised the cracked windshield would be fixed — but it wasn’t. I wasn’t shown any video of the vehicle beforehand either. The deal was rushed and I felt pressured to accept everything quickly. I originally spoke with Mr. Mashud Ahmed, but when I went to finalize, the deal was suddenly passed to Kenedy Ahmed without explanation. This felt planned — possibly to add extra items and confuse the process. I paid $50 for a temporary transportation permit, even though a permanent license plate costs just $93. I was told by customer service over the phone that the plate would be included — but they ignored that when I arrived. I never received a second key, and they claimed it was never part of the deal. The car came with worn rims, no proper winter tires, and a remote starter and block heater that weren’t explained properly. Within one month, I had to replace the tires, rims, and struts — major repairs for a vehicle I had just bought. Their sales manager and team stopped taking my calls after the sale. Before buying, they were friendly — after, they were rude and dismissive. This dealership is not transparent, not supportive, and certainly not trustworthy. Everything from the bill of sale to the extra charges felt like it was done to take advantage of a first-time buyer like me. If I could go back, I would never step into Go Kia South. We purchased a fully loaded Nissan , I couldn’t feel confident moving forward with the South Kia Dealership after being shown a vehicle with rear-end noise under the “as is” label. It already felt like a fixer-upper — and we’ve got two of those at home in the form of Kias. If I wanted to take the chance with an “as is” vehicle, I’d shop private for better deals. I have to say, I left feeling a bit like I was being “taken for a ride.” We ended up going with a Nissan dealership that certifies their vehicles, does a full inspection (twice), provides a complete detail and full tank of gas, and stands behind their cars after the sale. I think they pocketed my down payment. They certainly added fees that are illegal. They sold me a piece of xxxx, while I traded in a beautiful Sportage. I have owned 4 Kia vehicles (if you include the crap they "sold" me). Loved my first 3 and was treated well during the Sales process each time. These guys, at Go Kia South, are scammers and bullies. I will NEVER own a Kia again! NEVER. I don't car who is selling it - I would never promote such a garbage company! They Ruined my Life! More
