Derek always is professional, friendly, informative, and communicates very well. Derek represents BMW of Sarasota very well and is a credit to the organization. I came to BMW of Sarasota as a potential customer for a new car to replace my car totaled by Hurricane Helene. I was told they would determine flood damage and turn over to Allstate for recovery. Without prior authorization, they charged me for a completely unnecessary detailed repair estimate, and $275 per day for storage, for an invoice totaling almost $5,000!! . The storage fee is almost 4x the statutory rate, I was never told about the charges until I saw the invoice- obviously never signed nor authorized any of these charges. (it would take any competent technician 15 minutes to determine sea water flood damage) My out of pocket after insurance is $1,700 to get my car out of there which I will pursue via a claim filed with the the Florida Attorney General price gouging/unfair consumer practices complaint and, if necessary, a civil suit. Needless to say I won't be buying my new car at this dealership. More
