Needed new starter I called and told them the problem on a Friday afternoon. Got to the dealership near closing on Friday. They were waiting for me , arranged a rental c I called and told them the problem on a Friday afternoon. Got to the dealership near closing on Friday. They were waiting for me , arranged a rental car and said it should be done next day Mid morning on Saturday Derek called and confirmed what was needed and said he’d call later when ready. He called about 3:00 and I picked up the car. Only 24 hours after problem started it was taken care of.... first class service as always! More

High cost recommendations. Proposed $5200 Car was in for recall. The service person called . Said the car was ready. He then said some recommendations were attached to the invoice. When I reviewed the invoice,it indicated $5200 in potential work. The car is worth less than $5000 on a trade in. Really?? Non of the recommendations indicated a serious issue, that would make driving dangerous. However, one recommendation for two tires, may be appropriate. The cost of the tires ,installation,and balancing, to put it mildly, outrageous. I priced the continental tires at about $130 each. The cost of mounting and balancing , generously would be less than $200. I believe the BMW cost was around $700. WOW I started a chat with the dealer. The person on the other end said a service person would call. I am still waiting,three day. Lastly, I also own a 2017 X3. Next year I am going to completment it with and X5. Why should I use BWM of Sarasota. Thanks Ken Barbalato More

Great service advisor Someone asks me about this BMW dealership I have mixed reviews about this place .. I am not 100% happy with the things that happened to my vehicle whe Someone asks me about this BMW dealership I have mixed reviews about this place .. I am not 100% happy with the things that happened to my vehicle when it went in for service I will start by sayin my advisor Derik is a Wonderful,Awesome advisor and would not want anyone else but him I did have one other person Efrin he was also wonderful but works in the back on vehicles a true genuine person! I took my car in for something simple example 1st-seats making noise 2- gps issue got a call about tire having a bubble needing to have it replaced so told them to go ahead went to get my car the rim was all scratched up from them putting it on the tire machine wrong it look like it got eaten up so they said they would send it to their guy to have it painted got a call to pick it up the rim was fish eyed and no clear coat didn't even match they kept the car 2 weeks later went back still not right this went on for over a month not to mention the first time they didn't even paint the right rim! Now less than a year the paint peels and back I go and you can guess the job is not painted correctly I didn't mention before all of this that somehow they also messed the other rims up too so I did have nice new rims until going there and now they are all miss matched painted and was told by Greg their service mgr that it's normal for them to damage so many rims a week and another person there told me that my car never should have been touched by the mechanic that was in the back that day to change my tire as he was not higher rank and that my tires were low profile wide tire and the machine and mechanic has no clue how to do it .. of course no one wanted to be the blame for it just was passed off and now poor Derrik has to now deal with this problem .. I personally think my rims should be replaced! As far as Derrik is concerned he is a 10 star and has always gone out of his way to help out this last problem he was not here and was not my advisor he just came back and now refixing the problem . More

Customer attention lacking!!!! It’s very obvious that there have been some changes at the Sarasota dealership. The service rep explained my needed repairs effectively. However, he It’s very obvious that there have been some changes at the Sarasota dealership. The service rep explained my needed repairs effectively. However, he told me he would pay for the rental of a car since a necessary part was not in stock. The rental turned out to be at my expense. I was not kept up to date about the part delivery or an anticipated repair completion (in the past , the service rep maintained regular contact with me). I called to get an update and my service rep was not on site. Therefore, it took time for someone else to track down my repair status. More
