I had a check engine light come on and promptly called Gunn Nissan on 6/11/25 to schedule a service appointment. I scheduled an appointment for 6/13/25 with DAVID DYER. In the meantime, I took my truck to Gunn Nissan on 6/11/25 to schedule a service appointment. I scheduled an appointment for 6/13/25 with DAVID DYER. In the meantime, I took my truck to a local mechanic for a quick diagnosis to see what I could expect as far as if the repairs would likely be something under warranty. They said it was just an issue with the starter which would need to be replaced. I tried calling my assigned "service advisor" DAVID DYER multiple times before my appointment because I simply wanted to ask if this part is covered by the manufacturer warranty but he seemed to be the only service advisor who was never available. I even left a voicemail at his extension and again, no communication / call back. I showed up for my appointment at Gunn today and they told me I would have to leave my vehicle until at least Monday (the soonest it would be able to be diagnosed). I was not happy with this but was willing to leave it if a loaner was provided. I was told a loaner would be $45 a day if my repairs were not covered by warranty. Ok, well is the starter covered by warranty? Yes or no - very simple question: is part #233009BY0A covered by the manufacturer warranty???? Yes or no but DAVID DYER would not give me an answer. Look if I'm going to gamble $180 minimum on a rental until my vehicle diagnosis I would like to know if at least the one part that is definitely malfunctioning would be covered. I understand that there might be more wrong with the vehicle but can you give me a simple yes or no if part #233009BY0A is covered under warranty???? I don't know if DAVID DYER is just too lazy to check but I can't stand lack of transparency and poor customer service. If I still lived in Austin I'd have gone to Round Rock Nissan. They are so transparent and helpful. They don't charge add-ons for used vehicles and prices on new vehicles are better than what I see Gunn selling. What could even be the point of coming here? If you're thinking about buying a vehicle here DON'T make the drive to Round Rock. If you're thinking about servicing your vehicle DON'T, go anywhere they're willing to answer simple questions. I guess I'll call Ancira and see if they will answer my simple yes or no question, at the very least maybe they'll call me back... More

Excellent service! David Dyer is knowledgeable, profess and personable. He had diagnostics run, oversaw needed repairs, and kept me informed of progress. The technician who completed the work did it well. I left garage with noticeable improvement in the handling of my car. I appreciate this service dept ! More
