Excellent experience at Liberty Subaru in Emerson, NJ I recently leased a new 2017 Subaru Outback at Liberty Subaru. My sales consultant was Brian Goon. He was very easy to work with. When I picked up my new car, Brian spent a great deal of time reviewing all of the features of the car and was very patient in explaining each detail. Smooth transaction from start to finish Leased a new Legacy online. I emailed back and forth with Brian and got the best deal compared to 5 other dealers in the tri-state area. They even took my old Legacy lease back a few months early! I am very pleased with the overall customer service and ease of transaction. I only visited the dealership on the day I was picking up my new car. Ron in Finance was very professional and led me through the paperwork. They did not try to upsell me or add unnecessary option. Best Auto Buying Experience - EVER! There was total transparency throughout every step of the buying process. There were no hidden surprises. There were no pressure tactics. Brian provided me with a price via email for the model with the EXACT options I had requested. When I asked what other fees/add-ons there might be, he provided me with an "out the door" quote which included the sales tax, the dealer documentation fee (a reasonable, for NJ, $395) and he even included the $7.50 NJ tire fee. When I arrived at the dealership to look at the available inventory at that quoted price there were several on the lot to choose from and a bunch more scheduled to be delivered to the dealership in the near future - so I had my choice of colors. There was absolutely no pressure to make a decision on the spot, but I decided to go with one of the vehicles already in inventory. When Brian worked up the sales order, it was EXACTLY as he had quoted. I didn't need to haggle. I didn't need to meet with his manager or wait for Brian to go back and forth between me and his manager. He was empowered to make the deal at that price - a price with which I was totally satisfied after having done extensive research and using several pricing services (Consumer Reports, Edmunds, KBB, etc..). On a side note, the dealership is dog-friendly. While we were there, we met the owner who had his beautiful dog (a rescue) in the showroom. They have a pet exercise area outside. They also sponsor pet adoption events and are very involved in other community events and fundraisers. I signed the sales order on Saturday and returned to pick up the vehicle today. I sat with the Tom, who was the finance person. He had everything ready to go and in line with what I was expecting. I had independently calculated the monthly payment and his documents had the exact amount as I had calculated. He NEVER pressured me to buy an extended warranty or any other "extras". Brian took the time to thoroughly explain all of the cars features and functions and answered all my questions. The car was perfectly clean and detailed and I drove away a very happy customer. I can say I have never felt this satisfied with any of my previous auto purchases and I have purchased many. I give Liberty Subaru the highest marks for honesty, integrity, transparency and civic-mindedness. They are truly nice people and I will definitely return and I will definitely refer them to anyone looking to purchase a car. More
