My wife had been considering the Equinox EV since 2024, but at the time, I convinced her to go with the Tesla Model Y because it was a proven vehicle and the top-seller in its category. Additionally, the Equinox EV wasn’t available, with a wait time of at least 2 to 3 months for dealerships in South Jersey, and we simply couldn’t wait that long. However, we never lost interest in the Equinox EV. When Richard Kobrin from Elkins Chevrolet reached out via text about a month ago to check if I was still interested, things began to move forward. I received quotes from Elkins Chevrolet, Chevrolet of Turnersville, Hessert Chevy in Philadelphia, and Cherry Hill, with Elkins offering by far the best deal. Their location was also a plus, as it was close to our home and convenient for a stop while returning from work. On a Sunday, we even stopped by to check out their inventory and narrowed our color options down to Radiant Red and Galaxy Gray Metallic. I started messaging them right away, and by Monday, the conversation turned serious. The team at Elkins was fantastic, providing consistent, high-quality responses to all my inquiries, no matter who I was speaking with. In addition to Richard, I worked with Jonathan, Bill Wiler, Bob, and Adam, and they worked seamlessly as a team to make everything easy for me. Bill’s extensive EV experience was particularly helpful. The discounts at this dealership were substantial, and with the FTC and ChargeUp NJ rebates, the purchase made perfect sense. We’re also planning to install solar panels this summer, which will further offset the cost of ownership. Overall, it was an excellent experience at this dealership, and they truly went above and beyond to make things happen for us. They gave me a free ride from my home to dealership to pick the new EV. We are very satisfied! More

My experience was typically what happens at most dealerships when trading in a vehicle. The fair market value was not adhered to for my "excellent" conditioned vehicle but a condition of "smoker" wa dealerships when trading in a vehicle. The fair market value was not adhered to for my "excellent" conditioned vehicle but a condition of "smoker" was used to undercut the value of my vehicle and thus cost me to lose at least 2K or possibly more. A post sale fact check showed me that my vehicle would bring at minimuml 14K, but Elkin's Sales Manager, only offered 12K. Lesson, I should have walked out. How can this uncomfortable situation be remedied, Elkins writes me a 2K check after selling my vehicle as a RED TAG special for 20K+. Apparently the "smoker" wasn't really any factor at all. More
