I purchased a low mileage 2024 BMW M4 Competition from BMW of Silver Spring as what was represented to me as an “executive driven” vehicle, and I was told I would be the first actual owner of the car. What I did not expect was to spend months dealing with issues, unanswered questions, and discovering information that should have been clearly disclosed from the beginning. After taking delivery, I began noticing serious paint quality problems and signs that the vehicle may have had a much harder life than what was represented. During inspection, I found remnants of what appeared to be an “M Performance Driving School” decal on the rear of the car, raising major concerns that this vehicle may have previously been used as a BMW USA fleet/demo vehicle rather than simply an executive-driven car. What makes this even more frustrating is that despite being a prior BMW USA vehicle, the condition and maintenance history of the car did not reflect the level of care you would expect from a manufacturer-owned vehicle. The paint condition was unacceptable for a nearly new M car, I’ve dealt with PPF-related damage concerns, cosmetic issues, and overall signs of wear that simply should not exist on a vehicle represented the way this one was. As the first titled owner, I expected transparency and honesty regarding the vehicle’s prior use and condition. Instead, getting straight answers about the history of the car has been incredibly difficult. For a dealership carrying the BMW name, this experience has seriously damaged my trust in both the dealership and the brand experience surrounding BMW USA vehicles. The M4 itself is an amazing platform, but this purchase experience has been one of the most frustrating vehicle ownership experiences I’ve had. I strongly recommend that anyone considering an “executive driven” or prior BMW USA vehicle from this dealership request complete documentation of prior use, maintenance history, and cosmetic condition before signing anything. Ron was exceptional with superb customer service and the perfect attitude. He approached the process with patience, insight, transparency, professionalism and a genuine desire to ensure I had the best experience. He was very knowledgeable. We test drove the car together and he took his time to explain to me and show me all the features of the car. He answered all my questions with precision and clarity. That level of attentiveness is rare. Simply put, Ron was a joy to interact with and he made the process seamless. I also interacted with Allen and Bridget, and they reinforced that experience I had with Ron, making what is often a stressful process feel composed and well-guided. All three of them understood that buying a car is not just a transaction, it is an important decision. And they handled that responsibility with care..
