Friendly Everyone at the dealership was professional and kind. My only qualm would be to excessive pushing of the wheel and tire warranty and speed of service. I had a particular spec of the car that I wanted and I was blessed by the help of Alex Baszaral and the crew at Family Hyundai. I walked in and test drove a version of the Elantra GT N-line that they had on their lot and was really impressed. I was sick of my sedan and due to some work reasons, I no longer needed the sedan and wanted to return to a hatchback. I used to have a 2010 GTI and loved it but the new GTIs are extremely expensive and lack some of the tech Hyundai has to offer.I explained this situation to Alex and he was on it! Before I made up my mind, Alex allowed me to do my own searching without bombarding me with pushy sales calls which I greatly appreciate. Once I made my decision, unfortunately, Family Hyundai did not have the model I desired BUT Alex was able to find one in a dealer in Elgin. So, we worked out the details of the sale and what I was going to get for my trade-in and I left my Jetta there and was given a new Santa Fe as a loaner for a few days while they retrieved my car from Elgin. Three days later, my car came in. Alex notified me right away and I headed to the dealer. This may have been the coolest part of this experience. I was able to test drive the car from Elgin before I signed anything and was able to decide if I wanted to move forward or not. I fell in love with this car! It reminded me of my old GTI and then some. To put it simply, this car has everything you would want in a hot-hatch, dare I say. No, it does not have an LSD but I am not planning on racing this car. I am using this to drive the 10K miles that we all drive a year and I want that time to be fun, comfortable, nimble, have the utility of a hatch, and not have to take out a small mortgage to own one. The panoramic sunroof is absolutely insane in this car! It takes up the whole cabin, front and back! The premium audio is excellent, the ventilated seats are a feature I would not expect in a car in this class but it will be very handy in the summer! The first day I drove this car, I surprised me how well it handled and the torquey motor is just the right amount of pull and power, getting you up to driving speeds surprisingly quick! Fuel economy is better than advertised. Assuming the car is tracking the MPGs correctly, I am averaging 35mpg with around 60% highway and 40% city driving. I was expecting around 28mpg so that makes me very happy! Anyway, back to Alex and his team. The car came from the dealer in Elgin with some odd pinstripe and some door guards that I was given the option to leave or have them take off; chose the latter. I was appreciative of that! I signed my life away and I was headed home with my new car before I knew it! Alex was a pleasure to work with and to get to know. He called me a week later to follow up and I look forward to working with him in the future on other cars and service. Definitely go see Alex!!!!!!!!! More

Very Disappointed I bought my vehicle at Family Hyundai several months ago with Ricky Gushi. He was nice and knowledgeable but lacking in the administrative/scheduling I bought my vehicle at Family Hyundai several months ago with Ricky Gushi. He was nice and knowledgeable but lacking in the administrative/scheduling department. I bought an exterior and interior warranty through Al Pelizzeri. Al assured me that with my warranty I would be able to call and schedule an appointment and I would get my car fully detailed (wax and sealed exterior and leather conditioning on the inside) and get a complimentary loaner car. I opted for this warranty because I have two young children who are messy and don't have the time to detail my car myself. Fast forward to April 2 I needed an oil change and I had a software recall update on my Santa Fe. I thought that since they already had my car I would get my car detailed too. I called Ricky to schedule everything. He told me to call the service department to schedule everything. I called and made an appointment but the service department told me to talk to Al about scheduling my detailing. I tried to get ahold of Al but I am pretty sure he was screening my call as I called multiple times and left messages and didn't get a callback. (I saw Al a few days later and he said he didn't get back to me because he wanted me to go through Ricky to do all the scheduling. That would have been nice to know before he avoided my calls.) Ricky informed me that the service department had a lot of engine recalls so they didn't have any loaners to do my car detailing. I was understanding. Ricky told me I should keep my service appointment and we would reschedule the detailing later. I showed up for my prescheduled appointment on Tues April 2 at 5:00. I waited about an hour and decided to grab some dinner and come back later to get the car. I got a call about 7:20 and was informed that my car was not done. I asked why and was informed that there were no techs available to work on my car. I was pretty mad as I was told they would be able to work and finish it that night. I had to drive back and get my car as I had to go to work the following morning. Disappointed, I called Ricky the following day. He was understanding (Ricky offered to get me a free oil change for wasting my time) and rescheduled my service appointment and car detailing for Monday, April 8. He was able to get me a loaner car. I dropped my car off with Colin the service department. I told Colin everything I needed done. I told him about the oil change, the recall and the car detailing via Al. I explained that the car is supposed to be detailed not just washed and vacuumed. The service department wasn't able to work on my car until Wednesday which I was okay with because I had a loaner. I got a call Thursday and was informed that my car was done and ready for pickup. I reached out to Ricky to make sure that my car actually got detailed and I was assured it was and come by after work to pick it up. I stop by after work and check out and paid for my car (I wound up needing some breaks from what Colin told me). I walked out to the parking lot to get my car. I looked around the outside of the car I could tell it wasn't waxed. It looked washed by not very good. I was hoping the inside would be better. The inside was worse. It looked like it was just vacuumed and that's it. There was still dust everywhere, coffee stains in the cup holder, and a myriad of other things. I was instantly very mad. I drove the car around and had Ricky take a look. He was just as mad as I was. I am not sure where the breakdown in communication happened but it did. Ricky sais he would make it right and to call him on Monday and he would get a loaner and send the car out for detail. I called Monday and Ricky wasn't able to talk with Al as he was "away at a meeting" all day. I was told to try again Tuesday and which I did but I couldn't get ahold of anyone. It has been very frustrating having to try and get my car worked on. It seems like I get a lame excuse or the run around every time. It shouldn't be this hard. I feel like I should have been better-taken care of as I helped bring in two of my Aunts and my sister to Family Hyundai to buy brand new cars. I'd be happy to talk with Graham Watson about all my troubles. More
