Nice people, poor service - Daniel Robitaille
I bought a 2010 Outlander 5 years ago. I had a battery problem 6 months after the purchase. They charged the battery, told me that is was normal sometimes when the car was not used for several days??? So if you buy a new car, you can't go on trips anymore!? They charged me 90$ for the diagnostic... for a problem that should not have occured, they should have given me money, not the opposite.
For two years now, I am hearing a clunking noise when I move forward very slowly and when I turn. They looked at it at three different occasions without finding anything wrong. The last time, they changed the bearings, thinking that it would solve the problem. It did not.
My neighbor was able to find the problem just by backing out of my driveway. It is the ball joint. So now I called the dealership to have that checked since my warranty is up in a month.
I asked them put down in writing that this has been an ongoing, unresolved issue and it should be covered by warranty even after the five years is up and the employee told me that it had to be fixed before the end of the warranty for it to be covered.
So what I understand from it is, they will only look at your car carefully, when the warranty is over.
Good cars, bad company.
I will not buy there again.
