Type R Disaster My deal fell through due to the dealership trying to be greedy. I went into purchase this vehicle with the mindset of buying locally instead of buyi My deal fell through due to the dealership trying to be greedy. I went into purchase this vehicle with the mindset of buying locally instead of buying from my previous dealer who is from my old neighbourhood (no issues, great experience). I put a deposit in earlier in the year and got a message last week that a Type R is available and if I was interested in a Black one. I said yes. Long story short... i went to the dealer and this is what happened; 1). lease was not a option (initially) as I was informed that they are only financing the vehicle. 2) Presented with a bill of sale and almost 10k in accessories was added onto the bill 🤔 3). The finance rate was 5.99% 🤔🤔 I then inquired why all these options were on the bill, they told me thats how they are selling the car. I was only interested in 2 possibly 3 accessories from the dealer. They then removed floor mats, car cover, and reduced the "security package" from $999.99 to $500. Security package consists of wheel lug nuts and registering the vehicle with Police lol... ok Then I asked why is the rate 5.99%? And why am I not receiving the loyalty rate of 1% less? I am currently leasing a 2016 Honda Pilot. They said they are not offering that due to this vehicle being rare... At this point I decided to leave the dealership. They called me back in to talk to the finance manager and he lowered the finance rate to 4.99%. I asked him why they are not honouring the advertised interest rate on the Honda Canada website of 4.24% for financing or not giving me the option to lease at 5.49% minus the 1% as documented in my deposit agreement. He then tells me that this is not possible for this vehicle as its rare... I then stopped wasting my time with them as they are clearly trying to take advantage of customers. I then proceeded to get my deposit back. Sales rep contacted me a half hour later and surprise surprise I am now offered a lease at the promo rate of 4.49% but still almost 7k in accessories added. No thanks. They fail to realize, I am only 1 customer. They will survive, I am sure someone will spend that money. Its the principal of this transaction. If they were up front when I put a deposit down, I would of moved onto another dealership. I cannot believe this goes on in today's day and age. Whitby Oshawa Honda has lost a loyal Honda customer. Adam- Exception Service I recently purchased a vehicle from Whitby Oshawa Honda and although my overall experience was an overrated 3/10 (due to total disorganization, lack o I recently purchased a vehicle from Whitby Oshawa Honda and although my overall experience was an overrated 3/10 (due to total disorganization, lack of follow through and total disregard for customer’s requirements) the quality of service provided by Adam Rumball was a 10/10. I wanted to let all readers know about the exceptional service provided to me by Adam. The highest quality of service began from the initial discussion about the vehicle and continued to the final stage of handing over the keys. He was very upfront with me and did not try to hide any information that I queried. In situations, where his colleagues monumentally failed to provide service Adam has gone out of his way to correct their mistakes while catering to my wants and needs. Two such examples are the time when Adam’s colleague disregarded my request for additional coverage and another colleague had the simple task of following up on these additions but failed. In both instances, he remained steadfast in “making things right” for the customer by 1) following up with his Manager about the coverage that was not his domain to begin with and 2) following up the next day after his day off to get my car add-ons completed. He even said to me to let him know (on his day off) if I got my car. As President of the “Cleanup Committee” he was nice enough to offer to drop my car off for me because he knew I was inconvenienced by the careless service. If quality service is what you want, then Adam is the salesperson you want. If purchasing a car solely depended on the salesperson commitment and diligence then many many many Hondas would have been sold because of Adam. More

Second of all the stereo in my new car (has less than 200 kms on it today) was promised a resolution to the issue with no call back. I am dropping the car off today at the dealership More

Dave E. was quite helpful in providing me the info I needed on leasing options I am extremely happy with my dealings with Whitby- Oshawa Honda. Dave E. was quite helpful in providing me the info I needed on leasing options and features of various Honda models, enabling me to make a decision I was most comfortable. He and the Honda staff also ensured I get the car color (black) I wanted and helped with my car insurance papers on short notice. Dave E. clearly explained to me the key features and gadgets on my new Civic EX, giving me the confidence to drive the car on the highway right away. Very satisfied with this positive experience, and will highly recommend to my friends and co-workers to make sure to contact Dave and the other helpful staff in Whitby-Oshawa Honda for very good deals and SERVICE!
