⭐ 1/5 — $2,000+ IN DAMAGE FROM A BUG DEFLECTOR INSTALLATION Vickar Chevrolet installed a bug deflector on my 2025 Blazer RS in March 2026. Within weeks it was coming loose and damaging the PPF INSTALLATION Vickar Chevrolet installed a bug deflector on my 2025 Blazer RS in March 2026. Within weeks it was coming loose and damaging the PPF on my hood. I returned repeatedly and gave them MONTHS to make it right. Their “fix” failed. Worse, after I specifically told them NOT to use tape because it could damage the PPF, their technician used double-sided tape anyway. The damage became worse, eventually affecting the PPF under the hood and the protective film on a headlight. Protex Winnipeg quoted OVER $1,200 to repair the damage. MPI subsequently assessed the damage at OVER $2,000. Then came the truly unbelievable part. Service Manager — no returned call. General Manager — no returned calls. I contacted the owner's assistant, explained the entire situation and specifically requested a call from owner Larry Vickar. Nothing. Not even Larry Vickar could apparently be bothered to return the call of a customer whose vehicle was facing thousands of dollars in damage following work performed by his dealership. The stereotypical image of the “slimy car dealership” is one that dodges responsibility and suddenly stops communicating when there’s a problem. Unfortunately, Larry Vickar and his staff's handling of my situation did absolutely nothing to dispel that stereotype. After months of opportunities to resolve this, I disputed the original charge with Visa and filed an MPI claim. Think about that: a BUG DEFLECTOR installation ended with an MPI damage estimate exceeding $2,000—and management wouldn't even return my calls. Mistakes happen. What exposes the character of a business is what it does afterward. Vickar Chevrolet had months to make this right. They chose silence. I have the photographs, repair quote, MPI documentation and records of my attempts to resolve this. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust Vickar Chevrolet with my vehicle again. AVOID. More

They are intending to lease an SUV in this class, probably in the next 30 days. They’re motivated and ready to move forward when they find a vehicle that matches their requirements and budget. Got pushback on what trims we were interested in, push to go get in the car, and then a complete time waste of approaching half an hour waiting for them to simply print out the two quote sheets. I just went through the vehicle purchase process last month. It’s a 5-second process to plug in the numbers to the system and print that out, so I have no idea what their objective was beyond permanently alienating 2 generations of customers. Left with no information beyond the fact that this dealership is awful. 1/5 suggests we got something. 0/5 would be more accurate. More

I worked with Ryan and had an overall positive buying experience. Gurpreet was personable, professional, and easy to deal with. Fast forward to December 2025, and my summer tires quickly proved they weren't made for a Winnipeg winter. After getting stuck, I enrolled in the Winter Tire Program and had my tires replaced. A few weeks ago, I returned for an oil change and asked if they could also address a tire issue, as I had been told there was a screw in one of the tires. After waiting approximately 2.5 hours, my oil was changed, but the tire issue remained unresolved. The tire pressure was still low when I left, yet I was charged the full amount for the service. At the end of the day, I would have been better off staying in xx. Vital, getting an oil change closer to home, and saving both time and gas. I am still waiting to hear whether the tire repair will be covered under warranty or if I will be charged for it. At this point, I'm considering paying out of pocket elsewhere just to have the tire fixed properly. While my initial vehicle purchase experience was very positive, my recent service experience has been disappointing, and based on that experience, I would not recommend this company for service work. I'm still waiting on a phone call since about 2pm yesterday. June 23/ 2026 - Golly, they must be extremely busy if they can't phone me back! More
1-Star Rating: Completely Unacceptable Service If you are expecting professional service and accountability from Vickar Chevrolet Regent, you will be sorely disappointed. I brought my vehicle in for ma are expecting professional service and accountability from Vickar Chevrolet Regent, you will be sorely disappointed. I brought my vehicle in for maintenance and noticed I was explicitly charged $19.99 for a wash and tire shine. However, my car was returned to me completely dirty on both the inside and the outside. When I tried to get this resolved, I waited five days for someone to address the issue, and absolutely nothing was done. The dealership routinely sends out messages asking customers to reach out to their Customer Service Manager, H. Ross, if they cannot leave a "100% satisfied" review. Unfortunately, taking them up on that offer was a massive mistake. When I expressed my frustration over the unresolved issue and the wait, H. Ross entirely dismissed my concerns, actually calling my complaint "tail chasing" simply because I was an understandably upset customer. Honestly, I am not sure what is worse: being blatantly charged for a cleaning service that was never performed, or contacting the exact manager designated to help, only to have them be condescending and actively add to my frustration. Save your money and take your vehicle to a dealership that actually respects its customers, takes accountability, and follows through on the services they charge for. More

Staff was very real and made buying a vehicle less stressful. With acknowledgement of all in their dealership and making us feel like people and not just a number. stressful. With acknowledgement of all in their dealership and making us feel like people and not just a number. More
