Run around. Recommend to go elsewhere. Run around from beginning to end. Responded to online ad and vehicle was mysteriously 'not there'. Sales person took me around to other similar yet more expensive vehicles. When pressed regarding the advertised vehicle, questions were avoided without clear answers. I left without purchasing a vehicle. I suspect this is a tactic to get Toronto people to drive out to Hamilton and, once there, feel like they need to make a decision rather than feel they wasted the time, gas and drive. Checking later on, the ad was pulled down. Checking a week later, the same ad was back up. It all seems a bit too convenient and smacks of cheesy used car sales tactics. I've bought my share of used cars and this place was in a league of its own, in a bad way. Of course, it's all difficult to prove, but recommend to purchase elsewhere. More

In the past, I always dealt with 2 other girls and they were always great to deal with (I believe their names were Wanda and Michelle) and I wish I had one of them again this time. Karen is very repetitive and awkward, meaning she constantly stumbles over here words and repeats the same words over and over. She isn't confident in the words she speaks and put me on hold so many times to check on basic requests. She makes something as easy as booking an appt, a huge pain. I will specifically not ask to speak with her in the future. My experiences have always been great with Upper James Toyota in the past, other wise. More

Sales manager is a SNAKE. From the 1st word out of this guys mouth, I should have walked away. But, I figured I had already wasted 2 hours playing their sales games. Anyway, it's been around 3+ weeks since they promised that they would hand deliver my cheque for my vehicle I traded in. To my bank around the corner from Upper James Toyota. The cheque was to pay off my vehicle that they bought from me. I've left phone messages and when I spoke to them. All I got was a runaround about the cheque was sitting on a desk, or they will deliver it right away, or they delivered it last Monday. Dummies.....Monday was a holiday... In 2 days a 2nd payment for that vehicle they now have will come out of my account along with the payment for the new vehicle I bought from them. So, all I have to say about upper james toyota is be ware and don't trust that dealership. Go elsewhere.....I've dealt with a few other dealships over the past 25 years and I have never had a problem like this I should mention, I have EXCELLENT credit, a job and my financing was not an issue. For those of you who might think there was a delay because of anything other than that dealership is shady. Also, for the rating. They don't deserve 1 star. It's the lowest available. More
