I had an awesome experience with Spencer at Subaru City, purchasing my brand new 2026 Outback. No pressure sales, which I loved. I was handed a massive list of expensive “urgent” repairs totaling thousands of dollars and told my vehicle was unsafe to drive unless the work was done. That kind of fear-based pressure tactic is unacceptable, especially from a dealership customers are supposed to trust for honest advice. The Sales department was no better. After being contacted about trading in my fully paid-off Forester, I clearly explained I was interested in a larger 7-seater Subaru with similar safety features. Once it became obvious there was no quick, easy sale to close, the interest disappeared. No real follow-up, no effort, no customer care. This wasn’t even my first disappointing impression. On previous after-hours service pick-up visits, the sales floor has felt lifeless and disengaged, with staff appearing completely uninterested in the customers already in the building. Subaru City seems far more focused on extracting as much money as possible in Service while putting in minimal effort in Sales. That is a terrible combination. As a current Subaru owner who was actively considering buying another Subaru, this experience did more to push me away from the brand than bring me back. More
Our experience at Subaru City was disappointing and ultimately led us to take our business elsewhere. We came in ready to purchase a 2024 Subaru Outback and planned to trade in our 2013 Subaru Outba ultimately led us to take our business elsewhere. We came in ready to purchase a 2024 Subaru Outback and planned to trade in our 2013 Subaru Outback. We were made aware of an issue with the catalytic converter on our vehicle. Your team advised that you would only consider the trade-in if the catalytic converter was repaired and suggested we return to Fountain Tire, where the part had originally been installed, to see if it was still under warranty. Your staff indicated it likely was—and they were correct. Before even leaving the dealership, we confirmed the repair was covered under warranty, which was a significant relief given we had paid $4,000 for the replacement just six months prior. We were clearly told that if the issue was resolved under warranty, you would honor a $5,000 trade-in value toward the purchase of the new Outback. We followed that direction, had the catalytic converter repaired, and returned to complete the purchase. At that point, your team reversed course and reduced the trade-in offer to $3,000. Changing the terms of an agreement made less than a week prior is not acceptable. It undermines trust and reflects poorly on your sales practices. As a result, we chose not to proceed with the purchase and will be buying elsewhere. More
I had a very frustrating experience at Subaru City. What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a heavy upsell situation. I was pushed into add-ons through First Canadian Protection What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a heavy upsell situation. I was pushed into add-ons through First Canadian Protection Products that were presented as necessary when they weren’t. Specifically, I was sold “exterior protection” (for dents and dings) and “glass protection” (for chips and cracks). These were made to sound essential, but after the fact, I realized they’re overpriced and not worth it for most people. The finance service manager , Ali , was involved in presenting these options, and the whole process felt more like pressure than genuine customer service. They give you the run around when you request for coverage and the limitations of the coverage is not well explained so they weasel their way out of it because they don’t want to cover coverage you paid for. My advice: do NOT agree to these add-ons. The only thing even worth considering is engine-related coverage — everything else is just a money grab. Take your time, ask questions, and don’t let them rush you into signing anything. I wish I had done that More

I declined twice as I was not 100%, but he kept persisting that I put down $1000 just to hold the car. At no point was it mentioned this is non refundable. People at the dealership are also impossible to get a hold of. Was put on long holds multiple times and told people would call me back who never did. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere! Very disappointing experience with this dealership’s scheduling system. I booked an appointment in advance to view a specific car and even received a confirmation. I showed up at the scheduled time expe scheduling system. I booked an appointment in advance to view a specific car and even received a confirmation. I showed up at the scheduled time expecting the vehicle to be ready, only to be told that the car wasn’t available to view. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the salesperson. There was no real apology or effort to acknowledge that my time had been wasted. It felt like they didn’t take the appointment seriously at all. If a dealership confirms an appointment for a specific vehicle, the least they can do is make sure the car is actually available when the customer arrives. Instead, I drove out of my way for nothing. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I hope they improve their scheduling and communication because right now it shows a lack of respect for customers’ time. This 1 star is for Luka!Avoid this dealership at all cost, they are a big joke! More
