Brought my 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan in for corrosion inspection last year Dec 2024. THE Auto Body manager Andrew did a corrosion test and was approved to perform the necessary body work. Since then I ha inspection last year Dec 2024. THE Auto Body manager Andrew did a corrosion test and was approved to perform the necessary body work. Since then I have reached out to him numerous times to make an appointment to fix this corrosion issue. He has told me that "ITS IN QUE". Other times he has not even returned my phone call. I have recently stopped in and left a message for Andrew at the service desk, but yet again no response. This is an example of very poor follow up and customer service. I will be following up with Volkswagen Canada to express my disappointment with this dealership first thing tomorrow morning. More
Workmanship quality of service department has below low level standards. Failed to bolt timing belt cover of timing belt after cylinder head replacement causing timing belt oil leak. Failed to properly bol level standards. Failed to bolt timing belt cover of timing belt after cylinder head replacement causing timing belt oil leak. Failed to properly bolt engine onto transmission causing locked gears and zero power output after engine replacement. Failed to follow procedures and alignment after turbo replacement causing turbo boost hose to pop off during power output. If you value your life driving for daily commute or on the highway, avoid this dealership at all costs. Three times isn't a coincidence, it's a seriously concerning pattern for consumers. Although this was all warranty work, many times I paid out of pocket as they refused responsibility until proven guilty with evidence of pictures. Robert Bruno does not answer in timely manner and Andrew Strati will deflect blame onto you. More
TERRIBLE! See my Google review. I'm so angry for what they put me through and what I continue to have to put up with. And VW Canada is no help at all. I will n See my Google review. I'm so angry for what they put me through and what I continue to have to put up with. And VW Canada is no help at all. I will never buy another VW despite being a loyal customer, even after their scandal, for almost 20 years. But these guys take the cake giving VW a bad name. VW Canada doesn't seem to care though. No integrity to be found anywhere within this company. The very worst of it is that they could have killed my family when they failed to diagnose a very basic issue with the noise I heard coming from the wheel where I found out shortly after at another garage that the tire was literally ready to blow. The second is that I'm stuck with a car that smells rank and musty due to their multiple failures of doing things properly. I couldn't fit it all into my Google review, so here's some extra tidbits. Shortly after I bought my car, I learned that this kid that was giving me a shuttle ride LEARNED HOW TO DRIVE MANUAL ON MY BRAND NEW CAR WHEN DELIVERING IT FROM TORONTO! Back to the smell, I took it in because the floor was wet, they said it was a common issue with the rear speaker leaking and that sealing it wouldn't work well and that I had to replace a part. I went back to have it fixed, waited a typical hour or two and was re-given the diagnosis! Then the service manager tells me that it can usually be fixed just as well by sealing it and that the part wasn't necessary! I have so many other examples like this, bit I'm too tired of it all to keep going. There's a clunking/creaking noise in the front end that's been there since it was under full warranty that I've probably asked about 10 times in the past 7 years that they've never been able to diagnose. There's so much they did wrong, said they would do that they didn't, lied about doing, made excuses for, blamed others, they were not thorough in their assessments or repairs, their communication is very poor and I don't want this car on my shoulders any more! One might wonder why I kept going back. It's because they did intend to fix their mistakes at their cost, but they kept falling awfully short. And it could've gone on forever, but how many times do I need to drive 40 minutes one way for the same issue? More than 7 apparently. And who pays for my gas and kms and time (so much time considering the hours I would spend in the waiting room each time) to do so? And what does the owner, Marwan, say? "I do know that the team went above and beyond trying to help you out with the issues you had with the Vehicle". No! They only kept promising to fix their mistakes and continued to screw up! I went above and beyond with patience. This place screams incompetence. It's dangerous. I hope people see all these reviews before it's too late and steer clear. The stress they will cause you is not worth it. Buy this car back, Marwan, if you've done such a great job with it, because I won't feel right selling it to anyone and I think you owe me more for it. You take on the burden of fixing it and selling it. I will update this review if he decides to take any pride in his dealership. More
Brought in my car for a corrosion claim (car was still under warranty) in July 2021. The claim was approved by Volkswagen Canada but the dealership never got back to me regarding next steps, updates etc. under warranty) in July 2021. The claim was approved by Volkswagen Canada but the dealership never got back to me regarding next steps, updates etc. I kept calling and going in to inquire about the status of my claim but they kept giving me the same excuses (Covid, claims are backed up, no staff etc). The summer of 2023, I had enough and called Volkswagen Canada for information on my claim. They told me that they had reached out to the dealership soon after the claim was sent and requested more photos two years ago. The dealership never got back to them or to me and sat on this for TWO YEARS! There was no apology, no attempt to rectify the error and certainly no offer to cover the area the claim didn’t cover (even though the car’s condition has now worsened over the 2 years). The dealership’s general manager wrote, “The corrosion claims are handled by the VW stores as courtesy on VW's behalf and the majority of the VW stores are refusing to even accommodate these inspections and repairs due to the issues and frustrations which come up from time to time during these inspections and the claim process.” . In other words, “we couldn’t care less.” Disappointing customer service to say the least. More
Went in to have my running light replaced. Probably took them about 2 1/2 minutes however, they made me sit there and wait for an hour so they could justify charging me $77 in labor. I needed a code to unlock the radio after changing the battery in my 2007 Passat, As recommended by Volkswagen Canada, I contacted my local Volkswagen dealer. After leaving two messages, they finally got battery in my 2007 Passat, As recommended by Volkswagen Canada, I contacted my local Volkswagen dealer. After leaving two messages, they finally got back to me, and I was told they needed to have the car for one hour, to hook up, check, etc. etc. - at a cost of $125. Really??? I went online, found a site, entered the radio serial number (pulling the radio was a two-minute job - thanks YouTube!), paid $12.99US, and they sent me the code. Took me 30 seconds to unlock the radio. Make of that what you will. More
The price for an oil change is one third more than Burlington. Burlington price is only $120 and St Catharines is $180. Expensive service there. Burlington. Burlington price is only $120 and St Catharines is $180. Expensive service there. More
They lie to suit their best interests. Do not go here for service or recalls. The story changes by the minute to suit their best interests. Covered under recall then it's not then you pay f Do not go here for service or recalls. The story changes by the minute to suit their best interests. Covered under recall then it's not then you pay for diagnostic for their vehicles flaws. How is this fair in any way? If something is recalled there should be a time period the repair is covered under warranty. In no way should the vehicle owner be responsible for diagnostic costs. A B.S charge on any level since it takes seconds and is the only way for them to diagnose issues. I will never deal with these ppl again and highly recommend friends and family go out of town for vw purchases or repairs. More
