We were looking for a used SUV. The salesman we dealt with (Kahleel Sharpe) was excellent and friendly. It's his manager (never got his name and it's not on the paperwork they gave us) that we had probl with (Kahleel Sharpe) was excellent and friendly. It's his manager (never got his name and it's not on the paperwork they gave us) that we had problems with. He played the pressure sales pitch and alluded that we were getting a great deal. After leaving and crunching the numbers, his great deal (a number on a paper) was list price + HST + $250 Admin fee. Don't get me wrong, we told him we weren't willing to pay list on a used vehicle (with a rusted scratch/dent on the door that they were going to charge us to fix!) and he agreed we wouldn't be paying list. If he had said they wouldn't move on the price, that would have been fair and we would have understood. I know it's one guy, but he's the head of sales. And if they're going to mislead you when they're trying to sell a used car during a covid epidemic, what sort of trust is there after you've signed on the dotted line? More
