Hi Ashley, I have talked to you dad and I know you have talked to Myron as well. I know the Ford dealer can not look at your vehicle until the 14 Sept , no one is ignoring you there is not much we can do here with out you vehicle. As I said to your Dad we would pay to have it looked at to find out what is now causing the Check Engine Light to come on. There are many things that can cause the light to come, when you vehicle was here the light indicated that you had a miss fire and it was discovered that the spark plugs were worn out and that a coil not working all the time. Those items were replaced and the vehicle was rescanned and test drove and the light did not come back on. If the coil we replaced or the spark plugs are causing a problem it will be taken care of no charge to you. So again, I will pay to have the Ford dealer rescan your vehicle to find out what is causing the light to come on. I would prefer you email me direct if you have concerns cspanier@skahaford.com

When we scanned you Edge the code indicated that there was a miss fire on #3 cylinder. That coil was moved to #4 cylinder to see if the miss fire moved with it, as it did we replaced the coil with a new one and that coil is covered under warranty if it fails. There were no codes for any other coils and no way for us to know there is a problem with them. I am sorry for that more failed but we had no way to know that.

The check engine light came on not even 24 hours after leaving your dealership. I have had a mechanic scan the codes and they are saying cylinder #3 misfire, cylinder #4 misfire and random misfire. These are the exact same codes as when i initially brought the vehicle in. Why has no one called me back? You are replying on these review pages saying you are willing to pay to have the issues resolved.. well how come every time i call no one answers? The last person i talked to was Myron 13 days ago and he said he would get back to me with a dealership i could take my vehicle into down in the lower mainland! I am still waiting for this call...

Your dad called me and I talked to him for 15 to 20 minutes. I have never received a call or message from you. Just a note we replaced the coil on #4 cylinder if they say it is failing again it is covered under warranty , labor and diagnosis should not cost you anything. When we scanned your Edge it said there was a miss fire on 1 cylinder not 2. If there was another cylinder that came up we would have had 2 coils on your invoice. But there was no indication at that time, I am sorry but there is no way for us to know.

I am your client.. correct? So when Myron says he will get back to me regarding a solution, i expect him to get back to me. I am sick of the back and forth. You have my phone number and as a service provider it is your job to get back to me with a solution. I am sickened by the service i have received. It is more important for the people at Skaha Ford to argue with your client over the internet then to call me in private and discuss a solution. If this is covered, where should i be taking it to? Why has no one yet called me?

I want to know in writing that you have spoke with the Langley Ford Dealership and you are covering the cost of the scan and if it is the same issues regarding the coil that this will also be covered. I have had Myron, Butch and now you telling me 3 different answers.

It is unfortunate that your vehicle requires more work than what can been seen from the outside. And the initial quote was what can been seen, as we removed all the covers to get to the water pump it was than discovered that there was more issues that have to be addressed which increased the invoice. After talking to you Butch went through the invoice and his quote and adjusted the invoice to meet the quote $4150.95 Just give Butch a call , if he hasn't called you already.
