He wrote down my husband's income as being a tenth of what it is so the application was declined. Instead of looking over the application and thinking something was odd, he told my husband he would need a co-signer to complete the application. My husband told him there was no way that could be possible, we have amazing credit and he makes a lot of money, and the finance guy argued with him. When the finance guy finally agreed to look over the application again, he realized his mistake and we were approved. The same idiot processed the contract with my husband's wrong birthday, wrong e-mail address and wrong mailing address. I didn't realize the mistakes until we were driving home (we live 30 minutes away from the dealership) and when I called them to tell them about the mistakes they freaked out and said they needed it fixed asap. We refused to go back because they had already wasted hours of our day to buy this vehicle so they couriered the documents to us to get signed. They then called twice a day every day until they received the amended documents, because they had sent us the originals and couldn't process the sale until they got it back. From that point on, our e-mail address and mailing address were incorrectly entered in their system. It took FOUR separate requests to get them to change it. Each of those times they told me they had made the change and when I called back to confirm it still hadn't been made. Fast forward to now, four months later. We had (stupidly) bought the oil change package, thinking it was a good deal so I brought the car in to get the oil changed for the first time. They only have my husband's name listed on the account and I asked them to add mine since I'm the only one who will be bringing the car in for service. The desk person assured me she'd make the change right away. When my car was done, my husband's name is called. Of course they didn't change the information like they said they would! It also turns out the tires need to be balanced and the air filter needs to be changed but they didn't even give me the option to have that done while the oil was being changed, they just told me after the fact! I'm stuck going there for oil changes because we paid for five years of them, but if anything else needs to get done I'm taking it to a different Honda dealership. More
Breaks your car and asks you to pay for the damage This is a review for the service department. The sales department I cannot speak to, and parts I cannot speak to. The service department has made this This is a review for the service department. The sales department I cannot speak to, and parts I cannot speak to. The service department has made this company categorically the worst business I have ever dealt with. Their lack of accountability for their actions speaks volumes to their credibility and you should avoid them at all costs. In September 2015 I went in for routine service and an oil change. When I got my vehicle back, I noticed that the check oil light was on. Thinking it was just a sensor that they forgot to turn off, I continued to drive it. Wouldn’t you know it, someone in their service department forgot to put oil back in! Do you know what happens to engines without oil? Yup, they seize! Considering the most material part of the oil change was missed, one would assume a very linear relationship of who is at fault. Sherwood Honda’s service department was. You know who they tried to blame? My last oil change, because it wasn’t ‘dealer authorized’. They fought tooth and nail to keep from paying for the cost of a new engine. Only after I enlisted the help of my lawyer-dad did they finally agree to pay for a new engine. The total time spent without a vehicle in this instance was approximately a month. At that time, my vehicle was my only way to get to work and school, and the amount of apathy displayed by the team was staggering. Fast forward to May, 2018 – my car gets broken into and the front passenger window is smashed. Because Sherwood Honda’s service department has scared me so badly about getting serviced at places that weren’t “authorized”, I genuinely feared the repercussions of taking it elsewhere for this much-needed service. I took the vehicle in to Sherwood Honda to get it replaced, which I was assured would be a breeze. I get it back at the end of the day, only to discover that they had broken the actuator in the door, making it so you can’t unlock the door from the inside or outside. This was absolutely not the case prior to their service. As you might imagine, I did a real quick turn back into the office where I told them what I noticed. The service guy apologized profusely and said they’d be happy to get me in for another appointment sometime that week so they could fix what they fully acknowledged happened during the course of my service. I bring it back at 7:30 two days later, after they had indicated it would be a service I could just wait for. Yeah, definitely not the case! The line of communication with the service department went completely dead. Knowing how difficult they are to deal with, I had my dad follow up with them. He was told that because the service would be laborious, it would be at minimum another $450 to get these repairs done. Repairs that they had necessitated happen because of their negligent service. This is very akin to mob tactics. You want protection from us? It’ll cost you! I am honestly astounded at the consistent level of inaction and dishonesty from the service department. My legal recourse is limited to civil courts, however in the event that a passenger is put in danger because of their negligence, let’s hope that they don’t get hurt, because xxxx hath no fury like a woman whose loved ones are endangered. In summary, if you purchase your vehicle from Sherwood Honda, beware the service department. Based on the amazing reviews of their sales team, it strikes me that all of the good customer service is limited to the sale. Once they have you as a customer (especially under warranty) they will treat you like subhuman filth. More

After replacem I purchased a used Honda from another dealership. After a time as can happen with used the battery needed replacing. I did that myself. After replacement the radio did not work and I was told I needed a code for the radio to work. I drove unannounced to the Honda service center in Sherwood Park. They cheerfully accommodated me immediately and had a young cheerful fellow make the adjustment. He had to reset the system by disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it. For all of this I was there 15 minutes and absolutely no cost to me. Everyone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. More
Terrible Customer Service I've been a loyal customer since this dealership opened and have purchased 2 vehicles and service my family's 4 Hondas regularly. On many occasions, t I've been a loyal customer since this dealership opened and have purchased 2 vehicles and service my family's 4 Hondas regularly. On many occasions, the service has not been done by the agreed time causing me to have to have the shuttle return me to work or make other arrangements. I always drop the car at 0700 when they open after making and appointment and they usually have the day to complete it. Sometimes I need the car by 2, sometimes by 4. Should be plenty of time for a routine service. More often than not, the car is not ready and it is me calling to enquire, not the service department calling me to let me know that it won't be ready. The last time (and it will truly be the last) I had my car in for a 'B1' service which should have included a tire rotation. The shuttle picked me up at the allotted time and drove me to the dealership. Upon arrival, the car was not ready and the service advisor (Jon) started to scramble because he didn't know how much longer it would be. The shuttle driver overhead this and offered to return me to work and pick me up again in an hour. I returned and picked up my vehicle with no apology for the inconvenience. They hadn't rotated the tires as requested and I'm left to wonder what they actually did for the $235 they charged. A lot of excuses are offered but no real solutions, often blaming me for the miscommunication. As convenient as this dealership is to my work, it is overshadowed by the incompetence. I will take my business to another dealership. More

Took the vehicle for a test drive and then when we were all set we started working on the paper work only to find out they were trying to sell us 1. different color 2. used vehicle and not NEW and 3. according to the salesperson I was dealing with his manager told him to run the deposit anyway even though they didn't have the color and right model we wanted. Long story short, before they got a change to take our money and left us with the vehicle we didn't want I manager to get down to the dealership and rip the contract and as for the manager he just laughs at us. They lied to me that a huge crack in my windshield was because they actually were driving the car through hot wash and then brought it out in cold and it cracked and just dumped the whole thing on me . They actually say even of some one breaks your car which you parked there for service... you are fully responsible for everything. Disgusting! More
