Recently (3 weeks ago) bought a brand new 2018 CRV lx awd, and I was disappointed because the gasoline getting into the engine oil problem comes up. I've been monitoring the oil level for that past 3 weeks and the oil level has always been above the upper marker, almost topping that yellow stick. Called Sherwood Honda and try to book an appointment and they said there is no recall under my vin so they cannot book me in. I argued with them for over 20 min and they said we can take a look. They told me over phone that the engine issue is very common and they've ordered new updated parts that can fix the problem so I asked them to check if the parts in my car has been updated or not but they simply says they cannot confirm that. I think they are trying to avoid creating a panic to people who is still buying the 2018 CRVs. Few hours later they called me saying my oil level is normal and questioning me like I didn't know what I was doing with the oil level checking and simply send me away with my car. Called Honda Canada to confirm the parts, they simply say they cannot confirm either. Then WHO THE xxxx can? Very disappointed with the service from the dealer and Honda Canada. More
Loss of Trust in Service Dept. I needed winter tires for my Honda Ridgeline, so phoned Sherwood Honda for a quote for new tires and rims and was quickly and efficiently given the in I needed winter tires for my Honda Ridgeline, so phoned Sherwood Honda for a quote for new tires and rims and was quickly and efficiently given the information I needed. Based on this quote, I decided to have the dealership do the work. However, when I went in to schedule a day for the work, I was given a price approximately $400 over my original quote. When I provided the breakdown of my original quote, I was finally told that my original quote could be met as a special price, though tire installation would be extra despite the fact that I had understood that my original quote was provided as all in. When talking to the appointment coordinator, I said I would bring my vehicle in at 10:30 a.m., and asked how long it would take to put on the new tires. The coordinator told me I should count on leaving the vehicle for the day, and when I protested that I only wanted a tire change, she said in what appeared to me to be a rather patronizing way that it depended on what else the service department found to do. Since it was only a tire change I was after, I changed my appointment to 2:30 p.m. to give less time to find this "additional work". The final inspection report had over $6,000 of additional work identified as precautionary, which I declined to have done, but it also had an additional charge of $262.74 over and above my quote, and this was identified as "supplies and taxes". When I pointed out that GST had already been applied, and that my original quote was all in, I was told that I would not be billed for this additional charge. I really prefer not to waste time writing critical reviews, but decided to do so this time because this is not the only similar experience that I have had with this service department. I have heard rumours that because margins on new cars have shrunk, that remuneration at dealerships is being tied more and more to upselling and overcharging by front line staff, rather than by how well they service their customers. I don't know whether this is so, but it would certainly explain my experiences. Regardless of the reason, I no longer know who I can trust. Except for the fact that the steel rims supplied were different from the steel rims on display for my vehicle, I have no issues with the tire change-over itself.. More

Prior to heading into the dealership to look at a few cars, I punched in all my info into their “trade in calculator”. When i arrived to look at the cars, i didnt find anything that really wowed me but they were obviously convinced that i would buy the first thing i test drove. They confirmed with me the number for my trade in from their calculator, and then told me theyd have to take that price down 6500$. I was less than impressed. When asked what that 6500$ was for the sales lady told me she wasnt sure, and that they had to do an inspection once they bought my truck from me. That truck was under warranty up until 4 months prior and had been in for all its service. It ran like a top. Needless to say i told them to pound sand and walked out of there cometly annoyed. Worst... dealership... ever. I wont be back. Take your buisness absolutely anywhere else. More

They didn't belittle any other dealers (which many do), they didn't try to sell me any BS like "those cars are awful" or "that sales center is shady". They let me do my research, and when I came back to them in the end, they were happy to assist me and gave me the best possible price that any comparable Honda dealer had offered me. The salesperson Madi was quick to keep in touch and answer all of my questions. Never pushy, but very knowledgeable and helpful. In the end, I got the car I wanted at the price I feel is extremely fair while shopping close to home. Extremely satisfied and will recommend all day long. More

Worst customer service ever We bought a brand new Accord in January. The salesman was really nice, the finance guy was a complete idiot. He wrote down my husband's income as being a tenth of what it is so the application was declined. Instead of looking over the application and thinking something was odd, he told my husband he would need a co-signer to complete the application. My husband told him there was no way that could be possible, we have amazing credit and he makes a lot of money, and the finance guy argued with him. When the finance guy finally agreed to look over the application again, he realized his mistake and we were approved. The same idiot processed the contract with my husband's wrong birthday, wrong e-mail address and wrong mailing address. I didn't realize the mistakes until we were driving home (we live 30 minutes away from the dealership) and when I called them to tell them about the mistakes they freaked out and said they needed it fixed asap. We refused to go back because they had already wasted hours of our day to buy this vehicle so they couriered the documents to us to get signed. They then called twice a day every day until they received the amended documents, because they had sent us the originals and couldn't process the sale until they got it back. From that point on, our e-mail address and mailing address were incorrectly entered in their system. It took FOUR separate requests to get them to change it. Each of those times they told me they had made the change and when I called back to confirm it still hadn't been made. Fast forward to now, four months later. We had (stupidly) bought the oil change package, thinking it was a good deal so I brought the car in to get the oil changed for the first time. They only have my husband's name listed on the account and I asked them to add mine since I'm the only one who will be bringing the car in for service. The desk person assured me she'd make the change right away. When my car was done, my husband's name is called. Of course they didn't change the information like they said they would! It also turns out the tires need to be balanced and the air filter needs to be changed but they didn't even give me the option to have that done while the oil was being changed, they just told me after the fact! I'm stuck going there for oil changes because we paid for five years of them, but if anything else needs to get done I'm taking it to a different Honda dealership. More
