Condensation in headlights /horrible experience I bought a brand new Ford Escape from here in december and since I bought it I have been trying to get a problem with condensation getting into the he I bought a brand new Ford Escape from here in december and since I bought it I have been trying to get a problem with condensation getting into the headlights fixed. I made an appointment with the service department and they told me to take pictures when it was happening as they could not do anything as there was no condensation at the time. I have taken many pictures and sent them to this dealership as well as another one with no response back. When I called they told me I had to bring it in when it was happening, however it never seems to happen during store hours, usually it's late night or early morning and I work shift work. I have offered to leave my car at the dealership for a few days so they could take the pictures themselves but they refused. They have also told me many times throughout this process that they would call me back and never did. It is now March and the problem is still not fixed. They have been very difficult to deal with, i have had to argue and chase the dealership for answers and even simple followups. They continue to say it is normal for water to get in the headlights, however it is not just a little bit and it is even freezing inside the headlights. I was also told the amout of condensation/water in my headlight is unacceptable however the dealer continues to be unwilling to fix the problem. I will be putting in a complaint with the AMVIC. Due to this experience I will also not buy another ford and I have told many people about this awful experience I have had and will continue to do so, so other people don't go through the same thing. More
