I had been looking to update my 03 Duramax for some time and William A. was able to interest me in an '12. His professionalism and friendliness were exceptional. I bought a 2007 3/4 ton diesel pickup from Scougall's and was very satisfied with the truck and the purchasing process, so came back to them for a 2012 version of the same truck. I had already visited another dealership and checked out prices on line before contacting Scougall's. The Scougall Motors website was well done and included a couple of trucks that interested me. I called the dealership on a Friday to check on their Saturday hours because we would be passing through Macleod on the weekend, and Bob Cullen filled me in on some things and set up a time for the next morning at which time I met with Mike Lichtenberger. Mike spent a lot of time with us and we got down to details of how the truck was equipped, and of price, before we left. He also had Corne van Ee in Service work with us on a roll top; Corne was very knowledgeable and called a supplier about further details while we were there. I sent Mike an email on Saturday evening for explanation of a few more details and pricing, thinking he would get it first thing Monday morning, but he replied right away that evening. When we came to pick up the truck and write the cheque, Jady Sharp was helpful but not pushy about extended warranty and other coverage (we didn't require financing). William Arnoldussen was very well informed about paint/undercoat/interior packages, box liners, On Star, and the many electronic aspects of the truck, and also gave practical advice. On anything that any of these people didn't know, they got the answers right away for us. The woman who manages the front desk and switchboard was excellent in coordinating the numerous calls and several visits that were necessary. The CEO, Mr. Arnoldussen, set a very positive atmosphere in the dealership and, although he was obviously busy, he checked in several times with us and his staff to ask how things were going or just say hello. I bought a used vehicle in July 2011 that Jason assisted me with, and in my opinion he went above and beyond my expectations to gain my business, especially considering all the other dealerships I had visit me with, and in my opinion he went above and beyond my expectations to gain my business, especially considering all the other dealerships I had visited so far had either ignored me completely, or spoke to my fiance when I was standing right there. That changed when we went to Scougall's. Because of the positive experience we had, we started our shopping there when my husband wanted a new truck. Jason and Jady worked hard to get him in the right vehicle and the right financing for us, as well as assisting us with trading in Nick's old truck. We purchased a 2012 Chevy Silverado, and even though we had some minor issues with the vehicle within the first 6 months of owning it, we are happy to say that the sales and service teams worked hard together to resolve our issues, and now we are completely satisfied with what we bought. For us, it all boils down to the service we received and how we continued to be treated well even once the sale went through. Scougall's definitely went the extra mile for us and we are customers for life! More
