Prior to purchasing this vehicle we did more researcher than we have in the past. We checked other dealer location, road tested other brands. In the end we found that the Ford quality was second to none! So, we bought a 2017 Ford Escape, we also purchased the Tricare Service Plan. If you plan on keeping your vehicle beyond the Ford factory warranty, my suggestion would be to purchase the Tricare Plan. We dealt primarily with Darren for this purchase. Carol had lots of questions about the car, Darren answered all the questions. He was very knowledgeable about the product, as well as patient. Bob, who's now in management, was our sale person in prior years. As a result, he showed great interest in making sure that Carol and I were well taken care of, which was appreciated by both Carol and I. The experience of buying a new vehicle and dealing with Darren and Bob was very good, no unreasonable pressure from either, I will refer them to all family and friends who are looking to buy a new car. A class apart! I have purchased 6 vehicles from River City Ford since moving to Winnipeg in 2010. As much as this sounds ridiculous, life happens and the overall exc I have purchased 6 vehicles from River City Ford since moving to Winnipeg in 2010. As much as this sounds ridiculous, life happens and the overall excellent quality of the products keep me coming back. But however great the product is, you always need local support and representation. Brett Hirst became more than a sales person, he became a friend when he cold called me a few years ago looking for a trade in opportunity. At the time, I wanted nothing to do with this dealer as the previous management felt sales were more important than the customer's needs. I admit I gave Brett a really hard time, but time over time, he went above and beyond to see to my needs, no matter how little or trivial. The running gag we now have is that I "hate" him because every time I see him, its an expensive visit and I usually end up with a new vehicle (because he is so bloody good!) .... LOL. All kidding aside, Brett is what we as consumers looking for a new vehicle should be... a partner! Someone who will look at all the angles, Work out a pricing strategy that fits our very real financial situation and makes us feel like we are at home. The ENTIRE staff at River city ford is exactly like being at home with family. Sometimes going to the dealer is like pulling a bandage. Hurts at first but is better in the long run. They greet you with a smile, talk to you about what is best for you and always puts the customer first.
