Dealership committed fraud against me; BE CAREFUL January 25th, 2016, I went to Plaza Kia of Thornhill (7079 Yonge Street, Thornhill Ontario 905-763-3688) to purchase a used car. Kia rio LX+ 2014. Ev January 25th, 2016, I went to Plaza Kia of Thornhill (7079 Yonge Street, Thornhill Ontario 905-763-3688) to purchase a used car. Kia rio LX+ 2014. Everything was great, I love the car. When it came time to talk to the sales representative, the one who talks extra car packages, what you want added to it etc, things got a little messy. His name is Daniel Stein. From what I gathered, he's a nice guy and all, but he committed fraud against me. He told me, that in order for the bank loan to go through, I would need to purchase the extra packages. (The company for these packages is called WALKAWAY) so naturally I looked for the best ones I wanted, in order to qualify for the loan.) I ended up choosing the walkaway finance protection and Total loss protection (GAP) and even a third package from Kia directly called Kia Protect, we continued forward and I got the car. Now I'm a busy guy, I work 3 jobs and hardly have enough time to even fix together 3 meals a day. Over 30 days have passed since I was able to fully go through all the papers and such that I got from the dealership, after dealing with setting up payments, vehicle insurance, and everything else in life, this didn't worry me. I had thought I had gotten exactly what I needed and didn't feel any worry in the world about this. I was wrong. Daniel had sold me the Standard PLUS package of the Walkaway Finance Protection when I asked for the standard, most basic one. So right off the bat I'm worried that this wasn't the only thing I was lied to about. I called the bank, TD Canada Trust, and they stated that I indeed did not require all the extra packages in order to qualify for the loan. That right there shook me. I was swindled out of over $2000 because I trusted the dealership to abide by the Criminal Code of Canada and to not commit fraud. The Total Loss Protection has a 30 day return policy and after that it is labelled non-refundable. I'm in a mess now. Be careful. More

Scam Dealership w/ Nightmare Customer Service I originally purchased a vehicle a few months ago from Isabel & Ash at Plaza Kia Thornhill and was very pressured into writing a review before I even I originally purchased a vehicle a few months ago from Isabel & Ash at Plaza Kia Thornhill and was very pressured into writing a review before I even drove my vehicle home for the first time! Before, I wrote that I felt valued as a customer. Wow was I WRONG! The Soul I purchased ended up having a few issues within the first couple weeks of driving - (including weather stripping from the sunroof falling onto my head while driving!) I was invited back to the dealership to discuss my options and when I arrived for my appointment I was placed in the waiting area for AN HOUR before deciding to find someone to help me. Eventually we ended up finding another vehicle that I could trade my Soul for. Ended up negotiating higher than my already maxed out budget and was placed in the waiting room again before we could finalize the deal. I decided to go home after another lengthy wait and was told they would call me. I received a call back from Isabel a day later with an inconclusive answer. That was it for the rest of the week and I had to chase both Ash and Isabel down. Finally 7 days later I call them only to find out that the deal has fallen through and the only solution is to get my car serviced between their very convenient hours of 9-5 Mon-Fri before my warranty is up at the end of the month. I am PLEADING with any customer reading this at Plaza Kia who has purchased a vehicle - PLEASE don't let them use their greasy sales tactics to pressure you into writing some fake 5 star review before even pulling the car into your driveway or dealing with their service department. The customer service at this dealership is DEPLORABLE, there is ZERO communication and overall I feel completely disrespected, cheated, tricked & screwed over from this scam dealership. Daniel in the finance department was the only decent employee I dealt with in the entire building. As it stands right now - Ash told me he'd call back and I'm still waiting.... More

Sales and management staff are top notch at plaza kia, they are responsive, courteous and professional.
