UPDATE: Please see below for our follow-up response. Hi Katie, We appreciate you taking the time to write about your experiences at Parkway Honda. Upon seeing your review, our General Manager immediately pulled the security footage to review the incident and found that none of our staff touched your vehicle, banged on the window, or put their hands on the hood as implied. We will share this footage with Honda Canada to confirm this. It is very important to us that each customer is treated with an abundance of respect—this is a sentiment shared by both our male and female product advisors on the team. It appears that we are on different pages when it comes to your experience at Parkway Honda and we invite you to speak with our General Manager to discuss this further. Furthermore, the swirl marks on the vehicle are common and as you said, they were not noticeable when out of the sun. We wish we could have come to a resolution on that matter but naturally, with pre-owned vehicles, the paint will not look as fresh as it would be on a new vehicle. UPDATE: A full investigation was conducted by 2 Metro Toronto Police Detectives (one male and one female). After reviewing the entire footage, which encompassed the duration of this person’s visit to our dealership, and taking statements from at least 3 others, the Detectives determined her allegations to be completely unfounded. They were however concerned for the employee who actually had to jump back, in order to avoid being hit by this person’s vehicle as she drove away. This employee graciously declined to press charges. The Detectives also inspected the subject vehicle, which she alleges had damage that we were trying to hide, and found there to be none. Our only theory is that at some point during the process, she changed her mind about the vehicle, and created this story as a ploy to cancel the purchase agreement, which was completely unnecessary. All we were requesting was for the amount of the vehicle licensing to be deducted from her deposit. We have since offered her a full refund of her deposit without deduction if she agreed to remove her erroneous review, and she declined to do so.

As you requested, I removed from the review that the employee had his hands on the hood of my vehicle as apparently the video did not illustrate this. A Parkway Honda employee did stand up to the hood of my vehicle in attempt to prevent me from leaving the dealership. This is still the issue that you fail to acknowledge and apologize for. Just because poluce do not lay a charge does not indicate the incident did not take place. It does mean that the investigator determined that there was not sufficient evidence to proceed with a criminal charge. I reported this incident to police in order for the event to be documented. If this has happened to others, hopefully they will feel more comfortable reporting to police. If there are similar complaints in the future, a paper trail has begun. Again, I requested the video to be emailed to me on several occasions, which I still have not received. If you have nothing to hide, and what you say is true, you have my authorization to post it here for everyone to see. Parkway Honda did not offer me a full refund. They did offer me a form of blackmail or bribe with the following conditions: 1) Remove all online reviews and never speak of the incident again, as well as sign an agreement to this effect 2) the ownership of the vehicle was to be sent via Purolator to my addresa, where is was to sign it and pay to purolate it back to the dealer Once these conditions were met, Parkway Honda agreed to mail me a cheque for the full amount of my deposit. After everything that has occured, i no longer trust this dealer and I do not believe they would have actually returned my deposit, so in turn I offered: 1) First return my deposit 2) send the ownership to me via Purolator- I will sign and return it- Parkway Honda to pay the shipping fees 3) I will remove from the review "the employee had his hands on my vehicle" however I would not be removing the reviewson the events that occured. Parkway Honda did not respond to my offer sent via email. I drove 4 hours each way to pick up this vehicle. I did not change my mind. I wanted to pick up the vehicle I agreed to purchase- without the damage. The damage should have been disclosed to me prior to pickup, and I would not have wasted my time. I will not be bribed into removing my review. If this review prevents these events from occurring in the future, that is worth $500. This will be my final review. I am reporting these events to OMVIC.
