Oil Change I went in for a standard oil change as I have done since 2007 when i got my first CR-V. The parking lot was fairly empty so I thought it would be qui I went in for a standard oil change as I have done since 2007 when i got my first CR-V. The parking lot was fairly empty so I thought it would be quick. Just after I got there, three to four people came right after and I later heard there were a few before me. I know they were short staffed that day and a new lady was helping set up my appointment. Vicki McDermid was just stepping out to get a bit to eat. When she got back the phone was ringing, people were coming in and it suddenly got very busy. Vicki helped the lady finish up my appointment, answer the phones, create new appointments for new customers and remained calm and pleasant the entire time. A lady came to check up on her car that was scheduled for 4:30, it was not long past 4:30 and she was wondering why her car was not done yet. Vicki explaned that it could take a half hour to an hour for an oil change. The lady got really irate and said she was never coming back again, in my opinion she was very rude for no reason. Vicki handled the situation very calming and professionally. I went upstairs, had a coffee and watched the news while my car was getting done. I had an extremely pleasant experience and would recommend going there for service. I will continually get my car serviced there as I have been pleaseed with my interactions and car care since 2007. Service Department We bought our Honda Pilot from Ottawa Honda almost 7 years ago now. Ever since, we've only taken it back to them for service and/or repair. I honest We bought our Honda Pilot from Ottawa Honda almost 7 years ago now. Ever since, we've only taken it back to them for service and/or repair. I honestly never think of going anywhere else. Taking care of a car is expensive, so sure, sometimes there's a shock at the cash when having work done, but at Ottawa Honda, it's never one that feels inflated or unfair. Booking appointments has never proven tricky, they are always fully staffed at service desks with plenty of friendly faces to help. The mechanic I usually deal with, Lloyd is one of the most comfortable 'car guys' I've ever dealt with at a service bay. He explains clearly and patiently what I need to know about any problems or issues. The work is done in plain view and the waiting area is large, quiet and clean. We also drive a VW Passat and from our experience dealing with a few VW service departments in Ottawa, my husband and I are always saying we wish we could bring it in to Lloyd and the staff at Ottawa Honda. I think it's unfortunate that a lot of people assume if you get your vehicle serviced where you buy it that you're somehow not getting a fair deal. That maybe you always pay too much to have a certified technician. But for all my experiences with other vehicles when doing that, it's usually more frustrating or complicated then it's worth. So I would honestly say that even though we're not 'brand specific' with what we drive. We will consider buying another Honda so that our service will continue to be fair and pleasant. It's not even the closest Honda to our house or work place, but going anywhere else hasn't even crossed my mind. More

Of course with a Honda you get an excellent product and most likely will require only regular maintenance. We have never had any major problems with our Hondas. More
