Disappointed I went to the Okotoks Chevy dealership looking to purchase a Equinox. I was working with a sales rep. He showed me a 2017 Equinox Stock CG324700 a I went to the Okotoks Chevy dealership looking to purchase a Equinox. I was working with a sales rep. He showed me a 2017 Equinox Stock CG324700 and we signed an agreement and I put down $500 deposit with the understanding that when they brought the vehicle down to Okotoks today, if for any reason I didn't like it I could get my deposit back as I had only seen pictures. The agreed price all in was $26,496, with a remote start thrown in, 6 free oil changes and a $100 gas card. I was very happy and looking forward to my new Equinox. I waited for a about 3 hours (which was longer than I was told it would be to get the vehicle down to Okotoks) and texted the rep and he told me that the Calgary Manager (Shaw location) wasn't very responsive and so I went in to see the rep. Turns out they sold the Equinox on me. To say that is not professional is an under statement! I get that they most likely got a better price from another client but I had a deposit on it. I thought customer trust was vital to an business. The sales manager told me it was sold before I put the deposit on it but in this digital age I find that hard to believe. Also he told me that they emailed about availability at 4:30pm and emailed three more times and phoned twice and that their sister store informed them at 7:30pm that it was sold. Really since I signed the purchase contract and put the deposit down at 2:15pm and I was informed at 5:30p that it was sold I can't buy their time line and if they didn't email about availability until 4:30pm then they really dropped the ball. I will never deal with this dealership or any of their other dealership. I have now purchased an equinox with more options for the same price from another Chevy dealership. More
