Was told that First experience with this dealership ... Made an alignment appointment for 9am about 3 weeks in advance and arrived 9am on the dot. Was told that some 'sales alignments' had come up and they took priority over my appointment and so to expect a 2 hour wait. Didn't feel that this 'prioritization' was respectful of my time as this is a work day for me. Response was that they told me about the extra wait time up front. After waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, booking off time and showing up on time I was not prepared to book another appointment especially if the same thing could happen again then. Further, we have snow expected this weekend and getting an alignment done prior to putting on my winter tires today would be less than optimal. And so what other option did I have at that point but to swallow hard? Client lounge was comfortable but not set up well for folks needing to work while they wait. Not sure about the quality of the alignment itself. Seemed fine. Service person was not the mechanic and wasn't sure of the work done. He read the read-out. Also made a somewhat oblique reference to chance the PDI wasn't done by my purchasing dealership because brake calipers weren't greased. Since the vehicle is over a year old and has been through a Canadian winter and 32k of mileage I didn't think that this observation made any sense. I asked him about the product that needed to be applied to the caliper rails and he didn't have a generic name - mentioned moly-slip. I wasn't aware that moly made a grease suitable for brake parts. He suggested a $190 brake job. No thanks - I'm not paying $190 for applying silicone grease to the caliper rails which will take me about 5 minutes per wheel to brush on. My impression is, and this is only my impression, that the $99 alignment is a loss leader and the idea is to 'look for' other things in order to up-sell. Keith was pleasant enough. Problems expressed above I consider to be 'systemic'. Will not be back. More
I will NOT be back! Went to Ogilvie Subaru 3 weeks ago and it was not a good experience. In order to ask for a sales person I had to wait 5 minutes then finally interrupt the conversation going on with the three in front of the reception desk. When I finally spoke to a sales person he seemed reluctant or at least less than enthusiastic to take me for a drive. During the test drive I was told to follow a route and soon found out that it did not include any highway driving at all, in spite of being just meters from an on ramp. I was told I could take the turns faster to feel how well the vehicle handled, (I'll decide how fast I want to drive a vehicle I'm not familiar with thank you) plus it's an SUV, if I wanted a car that handled well I'd be looking at a WRX, not an SUV. What I really wanted was to go on the highway to see the level wind and road noise. I asked if there were any incentives for paying cash for the car and was told no, which is fine, but the manner in which it came out was as though my request was unreasonable. They may not care, but they lost a sale that day. I wouldn't expect the service department to be any better than sales so I have decided to go with another brand. More
Terrible Salespeople After doing his research my husband decided we would be buying either a Subaru Forester or a Honda CRV. When we arrived at 10:00 a.m. the salesperson was alone and was expecting someone so we could not have a test drive. When asked when another salesperson is coming, he said only at noon so told us to come back then. Wow only 1 salesperson all morning. When we returned at noon we went for a test drive. We really don't like when a salesperson puts down other car types especially when some of the things he said was false. Example - we don't need a blind spot camera as our cars don't have a blind spot. Really! He also said that other car company has too much inventory and has to give their cars away but Subaru does not have a big inventory therefore could hold their price with little to none discount. If you want a Subaru you will pay for it. We found the salesperson cocky. My brother had bought a Subaru Forester the day before and I told the salesperson that and he went to see the contract. When asked why, he said he wants to ensure that we would pay the same price. This salesperson had the attitude, we are the best so take or leave it we don't care. Later that day I found out that my brother cancelled his Subaru since his salesperson was charging him for add ons which were all included in the top of the line Forester. If Subaru do not teach their Salespeople to be very knowledgeable of what they are selling and not bash other Companies we could just image what the after sales would be like. It does not seem that the moral is good at Subaru Ogilvie More

Made an appt via e-mail (despite being in the dealer's parking lot) to test drive a WRX and XT Forester on the following Monday. Three hours before the test drive was told that they don't actually have a WRX to test (apparently they never do). As for the XT, was told that "a salesperson can take me out for a short drive, but because they're trying to keep the mileage low, it will be a really short drive". If I wanted someone else to drive me around in a vehicle, I'd have just called Uber. I took my business to Westboro instead, had an offer done in about an hour. Don't waste your time at Ogilvie, their heads are so far up their own rear-ends I doubt they'd be of assistance anyways. More

We decided to visit Ogilvie Subaru as it was closest in proximity. I was apprehensive after reading the reviews here on dealerrater. Our sales person was Denis Marion. Denis made the car-buying experience very easy. He was polite, knowledgeable about the product, and his directions during the test drive were clear/concise/stellar. He didn't care that I showed up in sport shorts and a t-shirt, nor that we were carting around a semi-rambunctious child. We decided to test drive some other small AWD SUV's after the trade-in process returned a low $ value for our VW GLI; Ogilvie Subaru uses Traderev to trade-in some used vehicles, the highest bid was lower than we expected. I found out that the other local Subaru dealership also uses Traderev, so I knew there was no point in going there. After test driving other small AWD SUV's (VW Tiguan, Mazda CX-5 etc.) we decided to go back to Ogilvie for the Forester XT. All fees were disclosed prior to signing the paperwork, there were no "surprise gotcha!" add-on fees. Manufacturer discounts were applied etc. Overall a pleasant buying experience, the showroom, waiting, parts and service areas are all very clean. We would definitely purchase another Subaru from Denis Marion at Ogilvie Subaru. More
Sales and Sevvice, WOW!!!! That was a year and a half ago and I am extremely glad that I did. The sales process was not from the plastic salesmen as I had dealt with in the past. You know the ones, always smiling, always telling you what they think you want to hear (be it factual or not) and assuring you that they will take care of you giving you the best deal ever….while you know most of this is pure fiction. The people at Ogilvie were sincere, very friendly, professional and when asked a question they could not answer they brought in to someone who knew the answer. The sales process was a totally positive experience in every way and I am very happy with the results. Never any second-guessing on my part if I had been treated fairly or not. The after sales service and problem solving has been exemplary and always to my expectation or beyond. When my car is in for service I always wait for it, as taking the bus is a pain. It is much easier for me to sit in the waiting room with a book and my tablet. To date, while waiting there, I have not heard another customer complaining. I see smiles and hear positive things. For me, during the last year and a half, Ogilvie Subaru has been five out of five stars. I will continue to recommend Ogilvie if asked and I will be buying from them again. More
They don't want your business I am not one to write reviews- this is my first in fact. I was compelled to write this review because I was treated so badly at this Subaru dealership I am not one to write reviews- this is my first in fact. I was compelled to write this review because I was treated so badly at this Subaru dealership. My husband and I were made to feel unwelcome and as though our business wasn't important. They also offered us $5000 less on our trade-in than all of the other dealerships we were speaking to. Another couple came in to ask if they could sit in an Outback to take a look and they were told there was no one available to serve them and if they didn't have a reservation, they should take a seat until someone was available. That couple walked right out. We will buy a Subaru, but not from here. We have found a dealer in Toronto who wants our business. More
Buying a Subaru? Don't waste your time here I purchased my first Outback in 2006 - great car. Because it was closest, my first stop attempt to purchase was at Ogilvie Subaru. It was a long wait I purchased my first Outback in 2006 - great car. Because it was closest, my first stop attempt to purchase was at Ogilvie Subaru. It was a long wait to get any attention from the lone salesman on the floor. The model I was interested in was not available to look at. Asked for a call when one came in. Never heard back. Ended up going across town to the other dealer two months later and purchased one off the lot. Purchased my second Outback this week. Again my first stop was Ogilvie Subaru. My initial visit was to get a ballpark estimate of price and trade-in value. The numbers I was given looked real good. Went back to days later to do the deal and suddenly my 2006 Outback was worth $4500 instead of $10,500. Salesman said he would try to get more but never got back to me. Again I went across town to the other dealer and purchased my Outback off the lot. Combined trade-in and dealer discounts got me a deal close to that suggested by Ogilvie but not delivered. Bottom line. These guys aren't really interested in selling cars so don't waste your time. More

The difference in the service departments is visually apparent and the differences are night and day, right from the appearance of the desks (there is no distinguishing between the cashier and the service reception desks), the lack of name tags (and without introducing who he was I had no idea his name until later). As I new there was a repair to be done I was still waiting for a call 3 hrs later and called myself. The first service person answered and was helpful with my questions, highlighting what was required to be done. When I then spoke to my advisor, I wasn't told of all the issues, and then because they had to order a part in I asked to let me know of an Estimate on when I would be picking up as I was booked in until 4pm. After realizing I wasn't told of a few of the other issues needing repair i then had to call back, and had to leave a message which was never returned. At 4pm I had to call again to see when I could pick up my vehicle, I was told another 30 min...the only thing was I had driven my the dealership and saw my vehicle in there parking lot, right where it was when I returned to pick it up. On pick-up a different advisor explained the issues that had been worked on, and this was fine. My vehicle was left unlocked in the parking lot. At Otto's (and at other dealerships) they would often power wash the vehicle as a nice touch, not so much here. Despite the distance to drive across town to the other dealership I think the service and professionalism is worth it. More
Brought our Subaru Forester, that we originally bought at this location, for the first service and I was really disappointed: I had to prove an agreed service price that I was promised by the service mana this location, for the first service and I was really disappointed: I had to prove an agreed service price that I was promised by the service manager, who was fired recently...; Instead of 2 hours we were waiting for 4 hours till service was done. Regardless the car was sitting in the parking lot for 20 minutes after the service was done, the front desk representative did not rush for calling us even we were only the customers at that time. I was charged twice for the labor that was already included into the service package; The dirty stains were left on the upholstery of the car. The Subaru survey was completed and I have never heard back from Ogilvie Motors. Poor after sales service!!! More
