He took as much time as I needed to explain all the cars features. This next part has nothing to do with Brad and everything to do with the practices of the Dealership. The one thing I didn't like about the whole process was that I was asked to give my credit card for a hold deposit of a $1000 until all the paperwork was completed. I have bought a lot of cards and never once was I ever asked to do this, but the fact that I actually had to hand over the credit card and it was taken out of my sight for at least a 1/2 hour was not something that should be happening. I was very reluctant to do that and made it quite clear I was very uncomfortable about the whole process. Once that credit card was out of my sight, the number, expiry date and security code were available for anyone that wanted to purchase something and have it delivered to them. I'm not saying anyone there would do that, but that could happen. If this is something you are going to continue to do, each salesperson should have a terminal at their workstation where the customer can keep the card, and the fee can be processed, or the customer is taken to wherever the card is going. I'm quite sure if any of you walked into a store and instead of tapping or inserting your credit card, the salesperson took it out of your sight to make a transaction and didn't bring it back for at least a half hour you're not going to be happy about it. In my opinion that is not a good way to do business. You apparently don't trust your customer without the deposit, but you expect the customer to trust the dealership and let someone walk off with their credit card. This part of making the deal should be stopped immediately. More
