From the get-go our experience with MacIver was excellent. We made multiple calls to the dealership through Christine who was patient and helpful each time. Dale was professional, friendly and very accommodating. He showed us what the dealership had available but listened to our particular needs and did not try to upsell us on unnecessary features. It is clear that he is aiming to be a "dealer for life" as opposed to just the immediate sale. Likewise, Brian handled the nitty gritty of the financing and was very helpful and instructive. All in all, I would recommend MacIver to anyone who is otherwise afraid of being sold a vehicle, features or a warranty that they didn't want or couldn't afford. More

Perfect Shopping Experience Because we had sent our son in ahead of time,Felix was all ready for us.We had driven an hour and a half to buy from this dealership.Felix guided us p Because we had sent our son in ahead of time,Felix was all ready for us.We had driven an hour and a half to buy from this dealership.Felix guided us patiently through the "building" process for our new 2500 Dodge Ram.We had always purchased off the lot in our previous buying experiences but because we needed a specific truck to tow our RV safely,we were looking at all the options.Felix explained in detail what each option did and offered his opinion about our needs.We obviously got the tow haul package and really appreciate the engine brake.We did not order the factory installed hitch package as the brochure was not clear about what was being offered.The brochure emphasized a goose hitch.We did not want a goose neck receptor.It turned out that the truck came with both options,fifth wheel and goose neck.Felix tried to change the order but it was too late. We believe everything happens for a reason.We ended up installing a superb hitch that only needed one hole in the bed,not five.There were no rails that had to be placed in the bed. We are currently breaking the vehicle in gently, touring the Maritimes.The Diesel engine is quiet, powerful and a discussion point with the many folks we have met.It is a fabulous towing machine. Thank you Felix for your honesty,patience and need to pay attention to detail.We will deal again! More

Felix provides excellent customer service I had thoroughly researched the vehicle that I wanted to purchase and after waiting for over a year to finally be in a position to purchase a new 2 do I had thoroughly researched the vehicle that I wanted to purchase and after waiting for over a year to finally be in a position to purchase a new 2 door Jeep Wrangler Sahara I was off to the dealership. To start of with, we visited another dealership that we had dealt with in the past because we knew they would give us the best price. However, after a few days of being given the runaround they obviously did not want to find us a vehicle. Actually telling us that there were not any available. So, it was then that we decided to go to MacIver as they are our local dealership and my husband has his pick-up serviced there. We started off with a phone call to the dealership and they put us in touch with Felix. We explained exactly what we were looking for (model and options). Since we were told at the previous dealership that there were not any available I wasn't too hopeful. However, within an hour we had heard (by way of a phone call and a follow-up email) that Felix had found us 3 - 4 vehicles we could choose from that would possibly work. We narrowed it down to two. Called him back and booked an appointment to come in to see him. It was obvious from the start that Felix is experienced and takes pride in his job. He made us feel welcomed and comfortable and the entire purchasing process ran smoothly and quickly. He answered all of our questions honestly. His friendly demeanor and sense of humour put us at ease during the entire process. He was quick to call when he confirmed that the vehicle was available and could be delivered. We were happy to pick up our vehicle earlier than what we had expected. When we went to pick up the vehicle, he seemed as excited for us as we were. He went over all the features of the vehicle and terms of our financing to ensure we were comfortable. The 4/5 rating for friendliness was not because of Felix; he would have been a 5/5. It was because of the lack of friendliness, or politeness from the woman (did not get her name) who processed our mastercard refund. That was the only incident that left a bit of a bad impression, but nothing to ruin the entire purchasing process. Overall, I was very impressed with both the service and the price we received. I am very pleased with my new vehicle and am confident that all my future needs will be taken care of by the professionals at MacIver. I definitely recommend dealing with Felix (and MacIver) for all your vehicle purchasing needs. You will not be disappointed. More

He explained that the salesman quit. We made an appointment for the next day at 3 pm. After I drove 45 minutes to get there I asked for John Maciver both the receptionist and the General Manager looked at me like I had two heads ! as if to say John Maciver does not speak to costumers. They said he was not in at all that day. The General Manager tried to pawn me off on a salesperson, saying("thats what he would have done anyway") By that time I was already hurt and upset. When someone makes an appointment with you you keep it. i felt worthless as if i wasnt important enough for the owner of the dealership to deal with. (Remember he contacted me) If this is how the owner treats you what is the rest of the company like? I will take my two vehicle purchase somewhere else More
