Please read this review prior to purchasing any vehicle from NewRoads. I was warned by another Dodge salesman not to purchase from here and I now know why. I purchased a used truck from NewRoads in May from NewRoads. I was warned by another Dodge salesman not to purchase from here and I now know why. I purchased a used truck from NewRoads in May 2022. Dale, the salesman I purchased from was wonderful and originally got me to write a 5* review, but Dale has left and so has the good customer service that he brought to the dealership. In November 2022, my truck was due for a tune up, so I scheduled an appointment and brought the truck in for service. The morning of my appointment, the truck would not start so I towed the vehicle in. I bought a new battery (as advised by their service team even though I didn’t think it was a battery issue but perhaps the starter or a loose wire). While it was there, I also requested an alignment. Spend $800 for this visit and pick my truck up on Friday. The following Tuesday, I’m driving on my way to work and it feels like my tire is going to fall off. I call NewRoads, tow the vehicle and oops - they had MISSED that I needed a new wheel bearing during my alignment?! I asked them to inspect the vehicle in more detail and alert me if anything else needs to be done. Truck gets a clean pass so I pick it up. Not even a week later, my air ride suspension is stuck in entry/exit height. I bring it back and now I’m quoted $6400 worth of suspension repairs. I get a second opinion, and the fix is under $100. Plus, my truck won’t turn on as it is the starter that needed to be replaced (not the battery I had just purchased). I emailed Todd Shivers (the GM) on Boxing Day, and he loops in the service team to my newest complaint. It’s now Thursday the 29th with no response from the service team on how they’ve screwed this up again. I am starting a formal complaint with OMVIC after the New Year as it’s quite clear this dealerships technicians are incompetent and out to scam you. I’m out thousands as during this time between the repairs paid to NewRoads, the towing I’ve had done, renting a vehicle to continue driving to and from work plus my financing payments on the truck I’m not driving. Proceed with caution. Learn from my mistake. More

Aug 13 2022 I had dropped my 3500 Ram off for service, oil change, fuel filters, tire rotation. Part way through the morning I get a call from service saying one of my wheel locks was seized on my tire an oil change, fuel filters, tire rotation. Part way through the morning I get a call from service saying one of my wheel locks was seized on my tire and they may have to find a way to break it off but I would require new wheel locks. They stated it was because I had purchased after market wheel locks and that wasn’t a good idea. Surprise they were already the locks that were on my truck, when I bought the truck new, at the dealership. But not a problem go ahead it is what it is. Then I am also told they can only change 1 of 2 fuel filters on the truck because they seem to only have 1 in stock, super inconvenient as I am from out of town, work 6 days 1 day off (Sunday) booked this appointment ahead of time and had to take the day off work already. Anyways work is all done I go to pick up truck spend $1,500 in work and drive it away. I notice on Aug 16, my black rims have perfect 360 scratches all they way around them, I also notice several spots where my lug nuts are, the steel has been GOUGED and PEELED back. Yes I understand that it would be more reasonable if it was in one spot on one or two rims due to the nuts being “stuck on” like they said but this was on every single rim and not just in one spot, some times up to three different lug nut slots was damaged, and clearly NO attempt to even file the exposed damaged steel, just rolled up chunks of damaged steel on my rims. So I took time and gps stamped pics, called the service department and told them. They of course wanted to see. So I did my best to get to the location a few days later before 4 (as I was told this is when the service manager leaves at) drove an hour in a half out of my way (taking time off work early) arrive at 3:50…oh managers left early today. So me and the nice lady at the service desk take pics she says she will email them to him and I will be CC in email (I never was or maybe the email wasn’t sent). So fast forward to the week of Sept 12, early on. I’m now in BC working and decided to call New Roads back as I HAVE NOT HEARD A THING BACK. Service desk patches me to the lady I have been dealing with the whole time. “Oh no we have been super busy.” Starts to tell me she was sure she sent the pics to the manager, but she had gone on vacation and her phone was so full she had to delete things to update it and now she’s not sure where the pics are for him. Can I please come in again? I explain to her no I’m in BC now. She asks when will I be back. I said possibly NEVER due to me not being from Ontario I was just there for work which you guys knew. Anyways given a bunch of lame high school excuses and told the service manager will call me back. Here I am writing you this review on Sep 28 and no one has called me back at all. Do not trust your vehicle to these people I caught them trying to add on extra service when I dropped it off. And they clearly will damage your stuff and ignore you hoping you will go away. They will even continue to ask you to come back so they can complete the service you booked before and figured they would do already the first time. Awful dealership service department. Avoid at all costs More
DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. I rarely write reviews, but I'm so incredibly disappointed with this place I had to share my experiences. I own 2 of their products (2012 Jeep & 20 I rarely write reviews, but I'm so incredibly disappointed with this place I had to share my experiences. I own 2 of their products (2012 Jeep & 2016 Ram), both have been serviced for the past few years at NewRoads. The Jeep is older and has needed more attention, but a few visits ago when they tried to stick me with yet another substantial bill, I noticed some of the work they were quoting was done on the previous visit (I had to check my old invoices). When I brought this to their attention, they said it was an oversight and would reverse the $800! charge. Fool me once, shame on you. My last visit was the last straw. I was told a bunch of stuff was once again required, including replacing my horn ($250), and one of the brake calipers ($400). I get the call a day later to say the new horn they installed doesn't work because I now have to replace the TIPM ($1,600!). Fool me twice, shame on me. Not saying this was a "bait and switch", but when a loyal, well paying customer takes exception, you would think they'd do something like maybe give some options...you need a functioning horn. If the TIPM is broken, can it be repaired (yes), are there less costly options (yes). Had to research both myself and found I could buy an OEM from the US for less than half their quoted cost. When I mentioned it, they said they could install it, but it wouldn't be warranted. I'm done, say forget it and just give me the car. My daughter picks it up and says the brakes are off. She brings it back and they say I should really do both calipers! Now you tell me? What kind of outfit is this? I've spent well over $10,000 there over the past 2 years. You would think they'd look after a good customer. They'll never see my money again. Icing on the cake. I get the follow up email, and call about rating their service, and request that if I get a call from the "head office" to please rate them a "10". Still waiting for that call. I'm also still waiting for the call from the General Manager who I'm sure will comment, as he does on all these negative reviews. I've been proactive in reaching out to you a couple of times already, Todd. I waited a week to write this review to give you a chance to call me back. Too late. And too bad for your sales team, which appears to be pretty good based on their reviews. We're about to buy 2 new cars, including another Ram. Looks like Aurora or Uxbridge will be the benefactors of those purchases, and service work. NEVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP! More
I made an appointment to drop off my vehicle for a diagnostic. I brought it to this service centre location on Thursday July 28 2022 at 4:30 pm to leave it overnight for the next morning to be seen. B diagnostic. I brought it to this service centre location on Thursday July 28 2022 at 4:30 pm to leave it overnight for the next morning to be seen. Because I was out of town I stayed in Newmarket overnight, they said they would call me once they determined the issue. Fri July 29th at 12:30 I still had not heard anything so I called at 12:45 ish to ask what was happening. The service centre personnel said the car hadn’t even been looked at and at this point “it looks grim”. Ummmmm I felt like I was getting a cancer diagnosis without seeing the doctor. I asked when will it be seen, they said there is no guarantee it can be seen. What? I made and had an appointment, and the car was dropped the night before. They said I could wait and call back at 5, but still no guarantee that it would have been looked at. Hmmmmm, I asked well then would you look at it the following day? They said “oh no, we don’t work on the weekends”. What? So now I have to leave my only transportation there all weekend until Monday? Which is a holiday? I got a ride back from my 80 year old mom and picked up my car. What a waste of time, and what terrible service. Will I ever go back there? Answer: at this point it looks grim. More
Great service! They were able to get me right in for a well needed oil change. The young guy Adam that worked on my vehicle was very professional. They were able to get me right in for a well needed oil change. The young guy Adam that worked on my vehicle was very professional. More
