This is in regards to the service department. We had brought our 2007 Santa Fe in for repairs required by a safety recall. The safety recall was for the leaky valve cover that drips on the alternator. A brought our 2007 Santa Fe in for repairs required by a safety recall. The safety recall was for the leaky valve cover that drips on the alternator. At the time of the service I had requested the install some additional components that I had provided. When they told me the vehicle was ready, it turned out they only installed some of the components. There was no explanation as to why they didn’t install the remaining components and I ended up having to do that myself afterwards. To top it off, less than a year later the valve cover was leaking again. I tried to bring the vehicle back in, hoping they would take responsibility for the failed work but all they did was provide excuses of what else it could be and how much they wanted to charge me. Needless to say, I did not take it back to them. Fast forward several years later, Hyundai Canada issued a letter stating that the prescribed repair for the leaking valve cover was in effective and they are currently working on developing a new repair procedure. I don’t know how long it will take, but I will not be taking my vehicle back to Murray Hyundai for repairs. They have lost my confidence. We have since been taking our Santa Fe in to Kal tire for repairs who have much better customer service. They take responsibility for their work unlike Murray Hyundai. More
