Amazing Experience Purchasing My First Car! I had an incredible experience with Mark Wilson's Better Used Cars... I've owned one vehicle before the new one, a hand-me-down from an older sis I had an incredible experience with Mark Wilson's Better Used Cars... I've owned one vehicle before the new one, a hand-me-down from an older sister. It lasted about a year and a half, and then started deteriorating quickly! I had to get another car, and fast! I tried several dealerships.... a corporate Mazda in Brampton, a used dealer in Scarborough (they were absolutely terrible) and my parents were also constantly searching for a great deal! We were using the web and my parents had provided the link to a batch of cars; one was a Honda Civic at Mark Wilson's. We checked all the other cars out first, because they were in neighboring cities and because the car at Mark Wilson's was $1000 more than all the others, and located in Guelph. But after searching and searching, we thought.... why the heck not? We went on a Sunday. I remember thinking it was unbelievably busy for a Sunday. People were going for test drives left, right and center. I was worried the car I was interested in had been sold with how packed the place was. We waited around for 15-20 minute; the rep who was supposed to deal with us was closing a sale. Another rep kept glancing at us, seeing if we were helped, and he eventually approached and asked - we said we were still waiting and he offered us Hot Chocolate and returned after 5 minutes. His name was Mike F, the man who eventually sold me my car. They brought it out, scanned my father's drivers license, and we went for a test drive. The car was smooth, the clicks were low, and I was pleased. I liked that the car had a spoiler and a sporty look; I liked that the engine was very quiet when starting the engine, I thought the clutch was quite sensitive and therefore wasn't worked in or super old - I was impressed overall. I knew I wanted it before we got back to the shop. Once we got back, I basically said "I'll take it!" We talked some more, they agreed to do some work to make it ready for me, and within two weeks or so, the car was mine. I didn't opt for warranty. Warranty is expensive so unless your car is also very expensive, it might not be worth it. In my case, it wasn't. Shari was my finance person; she explained everything very thoroughly! Although I didn't get the warranty, I have faith that the warranty would be properly serviced and taken care of if you did get it, and here's why.... I had two issues with my new (used) car after taking it home! Firstly, the spoiler had a paint bubble underneath it. It was the type of bubble that had rust around the bubble, and would eventually flake off and be a hole in the paint. When I mentioned this to them, they had me get quotes from several shops and were initially going to pay for the repairs. After getting the quotes, the manager (I think his name is Steve, I could be wrong about this) had me bring the car into the shop and they said they would fix it themselves. I live an hour away, so they put me in a Mazda 3 2010 for a couple days. When I got the car back, it looked great.....for two weeks....then I noticed another issue. The paint on the top of the spoiler was getting sun spots. The roof.....unreal. The sun was literally peeling the paint right off. My nice new car looked like it had a skin disorder. I sent them pictures, and they said "oooh that doesn't look good - how soon can you bring it in?" Might I add, I had just passed my 'One-Month-Warranty' from the initial purchase. I brought it in two days later, got it back about 5 days later, and they had repainted the roof and the spoiler once again. And man oh man the car looks good! I will always go to Mark Wilson's first, when looking for a used car, and I would recommend this place to ANYONE! After jumping from dealer to dealer, I finally found a reputable, and respectable one. Mark Wilson Better Used Cars all the way! PS. They were switching locations just as I was picking up my car for the second time, so I was at the old facility. I'm sure things will only get better! PPS. All of the employees are gems! There's a guy who i often see in a red hat outside, his name might be Jerry.. he put my personalized plate holders on for free, called a guy who installed rims for me for free, and was overall very keen to assist. Jeez, I'm so glad to have found this place. They made my first car purchase very relaxing, and I didn't feel as though I was being ripped off. Mark Wilson's....5/5 More

They have a massive selection of used vehicles at fair prices. They also have one of the best websites for showcasing their inventory in detail. Although the location was incredibly cramped at the time I made my purchase, I was told they are moving to a new location with much more room. The staff was very friendly and on the ball with the process. I will be definitely be going back there first in the future for used vehicle purchasing. More

Purchased sight unseen. I wanted a Ford edge but being the fact that we live in Oshawa (GM territory) they are pretty much non existent here. I googled used Ford edges and Mark wilsons came up. I found my edge right away and knew it was the one. There were plenty of pictures to view it. Immediately we called to set up the purchase. Due to a death in the family we were unable to see it immediately and had to wait for a couple of weeks. When we did go to pick up our purchase it was beautiful. It was just as promised. We were completely satisfied with the vehicle as well as the service we received. I absolutely made the right choice and even without first seeing the vehicle it was the right one for me. I would recommend this dealership without hesitation. More

If I could give the vehicle back I would, looking at it is a constant reminder of how horrible of an experience I had. When I showed up to my appointment nobody really knew who I was. Then I was given a empty folder that they apologized for not having any pamphlets available. Then without a sales rep or any info on the vehicle besides what I read online I took it for a test drive. Did I mention no one walked me out they pointed where it was and my wife and I went from there. When we came back the sales rep we had the appointment with was not available so they gave us another one who had no idea who we were. While the guy we had the appointment with was sitting in the front. We did an online pre booking and pre-approval but the sales rep had no idea and sent us to the financial office. The lady in the financial office had no idea who we were either no one was prepared for us even though we pre booked and pre-approved ourselves. we weren't real impressed with them but we were with the vehicle so we went ahead. Big mistake!!! I signed the contract got the vehicle had it a week and a little then all my references and wife get a call saying I need to come in and resign a new contract or they're sending a tow truck to my home to repo the van. She claims she called for two weeks but I have my phone records and I came to the office three days after she called. The only reason it was three days is because I was working at a cottage outside of Huntsville where I had to drive an hour to get a reception. She actually told my references that she thought we skipped town and she was sending a tow truck to our house to repo the van. Which as you can imagine was pretty embarrassing. Still I bit my tongue drove 3 hours to Guelph signed the new contract then drove 3 hours back to work. Then I got another call I had to sign another document immediately. So again I drove back. Then thinking it was finally over, my wife and I raising three kids did our budget to squeeze our new payments in. We based them on the second contract that was so important that they were telling our friends and family they would repo the van. Well surprise that contract was just in case the first one didn't work. So our first payment just bounced because we based it on the second contract which came out September 25 but because it actually went by the first contract it came out September 14. Worst dealership I've ever dealt with and I will never recommend them and I am going to find any way possible to tell my story. Did I mention when I tried to figure this out because I thought the bank made a mistake no one at Mark Wilsons called me or the bank back after I had called four times. Also the bank called them and had the same response none. Even the bank was confused because I took a picture of the contract and sent it to them. the bank apologized for the confusion but Mark Wilsons rep said I don't know what you expect we went by the first contract the second was back up someone should have explained that. Guess what no one did and no one even so much as said sorry!! More
Terrific service I am a single mom, and this was a difficult decision. My Jeep Liberty had reached the end of its life span and I spotted the Honda CRV on the website I am a single mom, and this was a difficult decision. trade was more then expected after shopping at many different used car dealers in Toronto I ended going back to Wilson`s all the way to Guelph to do my business. A difficult decision made painlessly:) I knew the time was coming to shop for a vehicle but as a single mom was dreading the whole process. Liz was amazing with the financial details and the whole process came together effortlessly with no hassle or stress.
