Thank you for your review. GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) insurance is an optional coverage that is extremely valuable to the consumer in many circumstances. It covers the gap between what you owe on your auto loan and its current market value. If you're in an accident your insurance company may only pay the current market value leaving a shortfall owing on your loan. There are many scenarios when this optional protection is recommended for customers. Each week during the slippery winter months we have customers who call and make the inquiry if they have this protection. They are very relieved when they have it.
